Did you see 7-2 with wins over Top 10 Ole Miss and Bama? Road wins over Auburn AND Florida?

Did you think we would be 2-7? Somewhere in between?

Be honest.

When I looked at the schedule, I thought every "winnable" game looked 50/50 at that time. Even Auburn, who was already looking shaky early, was a road game. I thought we COULD beat Miss. St, Auburn, Florida, and probably had little shot at beating Ole Miss, Tenn, and Bama. So, I was thinking something like 4-5 or 5-4 on the optimistic side at this point in the season after the FSU game.

4-5 finishing 6-6 at best. I bet LSU over 7 wins preseason and after the FSU game I thought I made a pretty bad homer bet.

I’ve maintained that 7-5 or better was a “win” for season 1 after going 12-13 the last 2 years. I figured we would lose one or two we shouldn’t and win one or two we shouldn’t.

I’ll be really disappointed if we lose any remaining games prior to UGA (if applicable) but I still think having won 7 games now this season has been a success.

I reduced my season prediction to 7-5 after the Florida State loss.

Very happy that an opportunity is available to go way beyond that.

I didn’t know if we’d be bowl eligible.

At that point other teams were looking much better than we were playing.

Now that we are where we are in the season, the two remaining SEC road games seem far less daunting than they did at that time. At that time, I would have been very happy with a split of these last two, which means, I optimistically thought we could get to 7-5. Now, it seems as though it's 10-2 or bust. Not saying that we absolutely couldn't drop one of those two games, especially now that we will be the Super Bowl for A&M at the end of the season, but I will be disappointed now.

After FSU, by this point I though LSU would be 5-4 with losses to Tennessee, Alabama, and one of Florida or Auburn. I predicted 8-4 before the season with one of those wins being FSU. While Auburn and Florida have probably been a bit worse than expected, it is still not easy to win on the road, and LSU has outplayed (thus far) their reasonable preseason expectations. LSU winning the SEC West was never something I considered to be realistic this season. Yet, here we are potentially one game away from that reality. It would be the most improbable finish since the 2001 season

Of course, the season is not over and that could collapse with losses at Arkansas and A&M.

I had Howard getting significant reps for a losing team.

I was hopeful for LSU to be 4-5 at this point and expected a loss to Arkansas and wins against UAB and A&M to finish the season. So 6-6 was looking like best case scenario.

I still picked us to win 10. Never got on the bridge. Wasn't ready to jump quite yet.

After FSU, I thought we would be 5-4.
After Tennessee, I thought we might be 4-5.

I thought we would be 8-4. I did not think we would be in the hunt for the playoffs.

I sure as HELL did not see us at 5-1 and leading the SECW! My preseason prediction was 7-5 and I stuck to that even after we lost to F$U.

Honestly. I wasnt concerned after fsu. Seemed like the newness of the team cost us. However down 13-0 to MSU I was very worried for my 10 win prediction. Can't believe we can clinch the west with 2 losses and 2 games left.

My nephew asked me after the FSU game, "do you still think LSU will go 10 - 2 now? I answered "yes" they still have to lose 2 more games to change my mind." Now it looks like 11-2 could be the ceiling if they stay focused. What I never thought would happen is LSU having a chance to make the playoffs.

I figured 7-5. Maybe 8-4 if we really improved over the course of the season. I sure as hell didn’t see this.

I still had us at 6-3 or 7-2, i thought we would beat Tenn and lose to bama. I didn't allow how we played in the first game, which we still should've won, make me freak out.
