It’s not that it is acceptable to lose to Bama. The problem is beating Bama has almost become impossible for anyone. Saban and Bama are like a huge parasite sucking the life out of the SEC. No one wants to coach against Saban thus coaching quality in the SEC has dropped. Saban goes in and cherry picks prime talent from each state. Even if these kids don’t play for Bama they aren’t playing for thier home state schools. Bama has a huge ghost coaching staff that also sucks talent out of other team’s coaching staffs.
The simple fact is SEC teams simply can’t compete with Bama anymore.

I'm attracted to the blow hard types. You do something to me. Maybe it is all your wisdom and intelligence that drip from each of your posts.

I'm perfectly fine with you not being a part of the selection process.
As I am with you I assure you.

I was just letting you know that I am not one of those people who act like it's your job to make all the important decisions like hiring a HC.

Misguided negativity. The team is winning right now, get over your self-righteous, entitled persona and pull for the team and "hope and pray" that we can drop Bama and keep the momentum rolling.
I have to answer this on a regular basis and it's stupid.

I never asked you to answer anything. I was making a statement.

I do pull for the team. I always want LSU to win.

Ok, good. Your negativity in most of your posts indicate the opposite. You may want to try harder.

You shouldn't assume things like this. Do you hate America because you're critical about certain things with the leadership? Just the opposite IMO.

You've come to the right place. Tiger Ree is your man. Or woman. I don't want to assume gender.

Wait do we have talent now since we won three straight? I'm confused.

I hear ya. It's damn hard to try and keep up with what's acceptable and what isn't this year.

The losses in 2012 and 2014 were the most hurtful, IMHO. The Tigers had both games won, and it took a bewildering array of miscues to extract defeat from the maws of victory in both games.

Frick Chavis and his "allow" defense.

shite happens and reality sets in that it just might not be our year - injuries, lots of underclass men playing key positions, lack of depth, new OC and system.......not to mention Bsma having another dominant team.

Blame game is so typical for the impatient children who expect everything to just fall in place with no issues or interruption to the program. Goal posts haven't moved - but to not accept the fact that Bama has beaten it's opponents by an average of a zillion points while LSU has struggled in fielding it's best and most experienced players due to injury or suspensions, you just aren't being honest with yourself. Blame O all you want, or blame Miles for bad recruiting of the big uglies the past few years - how about we just enjoy the roller coaster ride and hope that the team continues to play hard and improve. And yes, expect to beat Bama if these guys play their best !

It's weird. We fired a coach and then lowered the expectations for his replacement. That's not the way it's supposed to work

OR we fired the coach and the new coach found himself with a poor OL and had his best DL guys injured. this isn't computer game football where you change one element and there is an effect. there are lots of moving parts. imo, no coach could have come in this year, fisher, herman, fedora, etc and changed our expectations against bama THIS YEAR.

This is almost word for word what people were saying about Florida in the 1990s..........

Everyone on this board wanted to pay Jimbo $10 million per year to be the coach

No, we just didn't want to pay bout 7 mil for HC/OC/DC who would give us the worst beat down in our Miss. St. vs LSU history and a L to freaking SBC team.

It's amusing that since 2000 a L to Bama was never acceptable for any reason, but now that's changed for some. Same with L's. Two L's a season was laughed at by some, but now 3-4 L's is a reasonable expectation.

My how those goal post keep on moving in the minds of some.

To be fair, I think BamaSaban has had that same impact on most of the SEC. they seem too much like the Borg - “resistance is futile.” Or it feels that way. Too much like UCLA basketball during the John Wooden era - too dominant for anybody else to have a chance. Old timers will remember that. So I think it’s not just LSU. But yes, Clemson from last year does say “hello” and they showed us the way to win - believe in yourselves, don’t quit, and keep Saban and his team out of your heads. They did it.

They're a better team than us, but we have a shot. We have time to rest up, and put a solid plan in place. You know our young men will be fired up. Just go out there a swing first.
