This is a different era and a different time. You can turn things around a good bit more quickly. Now it's not as easy as pushing a button but it's not as hard as it used to be.

I think folks are/were excited about the Lane hire and believe it is a great hire and for many it's still a honeymoon phase and I sense many are going to give him a good bit of the benefit of the doubt at least this year.

I will say losing to Kentucky was very disappointing and while some may want to absolve LK of any blame for it you can't, he's the head coach.

Does that mean we should fire him or that he can't win a national title here in a couple of years? No - time reveals all truths - we're just going to have to wait to answer the bigger picture questions, but we can still be pissed in the here and now, that's alright.

So if our DC was one of the DC's at Texas, Alabama, Oklahoma, A&M and Florida would you want them to replace Baker? Or maybe players didn't do what Baker and the defensive position coaches taught them to do.

You guys did this same schtick to defend Pelini, “muh it’s the players fault”. Problem is 13 of those players were NFL guys and now everyone knows it was Pelini. Is giving up 413.5 yards per game and 29.5 points per game good for a DC?

Do ya think Bama is happy with Saban after going 6-6 in his first regular season?
