It literally doesn’t get any worse than the Ole Miss game man lol

Seems like many forgot about that game. It should be at the forefront on everyones mind. Huge debacle from coaching standpoint.

I was hoping after that game Lane would put out a few tweets to guide Kelly and House. He did last year about Perkins and greatly helped. This year not so much.

I was thinking along same lines... Scary to put two freshmen out there but the starters sucked arse. Maybe it's forcing the staff to put different guys out there and perhaps lightning in a bottle herby do striketh.

I seem to remember CBK putting in two freshmen as starters last year as well. How did that work out for us?

PS: Yeah, they had a lot of games under their belt on the OL before the 'Bama game. But still, starting talented freshmen when warranted (or, in this case, when needed) doesn't scare me when Kelly does it. And, as others have said, they couldn't really play any worse than the starters they're replacing so....

3rd & longs are critical and a weakness.

Milroe has a pretty good deep ball. The young guys gotta show up and stop the explosive plays if get them back in a 3 & 10+

This game is about running up the score on them more than they run up the score on us.

Any drive that doesn’t end in pts for either team will make or break the game.

15 years ago, it was whoever scores 2 TDs would win. Missed assignments were critical.

Saturday is more about which team makes just enough defensive plays to create a few stops.

Don't know who you're referring to but I assume not too good.

If you really believe that our defense will be improved this week, you need to look at the coaching staff and start questioning them.

I don’t think we necessarily will be better, I just am not sure they will be worse.

Typically yes, but sometimes guys step up in games when called. We’ll see.

At the end of the day, defensive line has to step up and get pressure. It will help these young guys out on the back end tremendously

Use Perkins to put pressure on Milroe to take pressure off the corners.

How does someone with the talent of Denver Harris just piss it all away? Has played at 2 SEC schools and still can’t get right. I hope he figures it out before he has to finish his career at no name school.

Agreed, OP. At the very least, it's an opportunity to have fun, for fans and players alike. Offense can play loose knowing they may have to carry ("it won't be our fault if we lose"), freshman have nothing to lose, and we'll get to see something new.

my coach used to preach if you screw up but you are flying around good things can still happen.

with poor players being out of position and not knowing what is going on, I'm all for giving the talented TF DB's their space to learn and grow on the fly.

Besides, look at the WR's they cover in practice......I hear they are better than most.

Hoping the defense allows them to simplify role and play free.

Simplify the defense and Milroe won’t have to hold the ball too long to figure out the coverages.

if this is true, then Bama has the edge no doubt. Saban and Co. will have schemed up their defense to do something to trip up/ slow down our offense. Since our d will clearly be over matched it’s enough for Bama to win comfortably in my opinion.
