Very confident- after we beat Bama

Strongly confident- when we took the lead on Clemson 21-17 I knew the track meet was on and they wouldn’t be able to keep pace

100% confident- when Depit hit Lawrence and Stingley scooped up the fumble

Anyone citing anytime before the actual national championship game is absolutely full of shite.

I’m willing to bet you can go through the post history of these people bringing up games played in September and October and find them absolutely melting their arse off and being full of uncertainty

Oh after we escaped a shootout in Austin, you saw LSU running through the SEC unscathed, which included a trip to Tuscaloosa with a healthy Tua, and Burrow winning the Heisman in a landslide vote???

Bama has been our biggest hurdle and after we beat them the way we did, I knew nobody else could stop this team. This team responded to every single critique placed on them this year. Halftime adjustments were calming and the confidence this team displayed was crazy.

The interviews were always on point and never too cocky. O raised these guys right. Humble but will knock the sht out of you.

It was this for me, too.

I wasn't nervous about Oklahoma's ability to beat us, but I was nervous about how LSU would come out and play on a stage bigger than any of them had ever been on before. I was concerned they might be rusty, mistake prone, unpolished...

And then they absolutely raped OU's nostrils and left even the OU fans walking out of the stadium complimenting the Joe Burrow show, knowing they'd just witnessed history.

When we curb stomped OU, I was never nervous after that. Even down 17-7 in the NCG, I just said, "yeah, when Joe figures this D pressure out it's over." And he figured it out in the 2nd quarter.

In the interview that Joe did before the NC game where he said the picture of him as a kid looked like a national champion and then smirked

100% certain? When my wife cracked open a bottle of champagne 1/2 through the third quarter of the NC game.

Bama
Seeing that emotion from players and coaches after game.
I knew this team wasn't losing again even if it would have meant a Bama rematch.

When Tua inexplicably dropped the football inside the 5-yd line without being touched, I knew an invisible, "divine hand" was guiding our season.

When we dismantled Oklahoma. I was skeptical and this team obliterated all. A dream season by any standard or measure

After watching the toughest games that Clemson played, I could not identify any way that Clemson could win, unless we imploded. Which we looked like we were doing on our first two possessions.
