When Lincoln Riley gets shite-canned, he should get a look for OC

Guy can't run a program. But he can run an offense.

I know Sloan is still around, but he is not a good playcaller at all.

A lot of people will hate this because it's Riley but some coaches excel at one side of the ball and I think an SEC team will take him before the next year is up.

I think he'll retire. He's already stated that he wants to retire early and spend time with his family. He's set for life financially, why take a step down and move again?

If Riley gets shitcanned he’ll be a head coach somewhere else unless he goes the Chip Kelly route and just doesn’t want the bullshite that comes with the job.

We've already hired my least favorite head coach in CFB so might as well hire my second.

I read USC would owe him $90mil if he’s fired this season. I think he’s safe for another year.

I don't understand his appeal in anything other than offense. He consistently fields dogshit defense and never really wins anything.

The guy is 100% OC material

How did LSU lose to this sorry team? Jesus. I'll give it to USC they played like that was their SB. That QB was making some great throws but it's still embarrassing we lost to that team. I still think if we played them now we'd beat them even though I don't think we have the greatest team right now.

Big match ups game 1 are a horrible idea in NIL era where it takes half a season to rebuild chemistry with transfer portal guys. There's way too much roster turnover in NCAA to be pushing top 10 match ups game 1 for LSU. This isn't 10 years ago. It's a different atmosphere. Sure, the other team has to do it but whatever BK does it obviously doesn't work.

I think that matchup ultimately came down to Joe Sloan's inexperience vs Riley being maybe the best playcaller in CFB.

Houston’s head coach makes $4.5 million.

The highest paid coordinator in CFB makes half of that.

4 fumbles/tipped balls all went their way and their WRs made circus catches at pivotal moments.

Also our run game is trash

Correct. He’s just like Lane Kiffin.

They got every damn bounce that game. If the ball hit the turf it went right back to them. But we still have no excuse for losing that game.

Well Kelly with all his considerable experience should have guided him for that game. I think it's more he never has his team ready for the start of the year or for the start of a game for that matter. It always seems to take 2 quarters for them to get in a groove.

When he gets canned he’ll lay low for a couple years until he gets bored. No telling what the conference alignment will look like by that time but he will find the easiest conference and take another shot at head coach.

I could see hum going the NFL OC route but not back to the same position in college.
