I’m just saying it doesn’t have to be one extreme or the other.

Can’t he be pretty damn good but not be Joey B reincarnated?

Unfortunately I think that’s a lost cause. Both sides are so galvanized against each other now that it’s just impossible.

You’ve got folks on one side reluctantly giving him credit for what was a phenomenal game, but basically saying “let’s see if he can do that every week.” Which is silly because we’ve only had one quarterback in school history who could do that every week. Those same folks will be saying “I told you so” the first time he has an average game.

Then you have folks in the other side building him up with impossible expectations despite the fact that it’s extremely unlikely that he performs at this level every week.

My opinion is that he’s a very good quarterback, but that he still has a lot to prove if he’s going to be in the “best players in CFB” conversation. He has been inconsistent at times; however, I think most really good college quarterbacks are inconsistent at times. He’s absolutely good enough for LSU to make a run, but quarterback play is not the only factor and I think it’s ridiculous that so many people are boiling the team’s success (or lack thereof) down to Daniels vs. Nussmeier. QB play is the least of my concerns.

Bro we played a garbage Miss St team. The teams Burrow had to beat in 2019 were incredible. The entire SEC is dog shite this year. Georgia may be number one but they’re no where near as good as they have been. Bama looks terrible. Florida and Auburn aren’t good. This may be the easiest year to win the SEC in 20 years.

No, he wasn’t.

If a 60% completion rate and throwing for 350 yards is off, then you must think his ceiling is as the greatest of all time?

Florida looked pretty good vs TN.
Their QB and two running backs are looking quite capable.

Diggs is a great RB. ND didn't like him leaving but he was likely third string this year which is more a reflection on the ND rb depth than diggs. He could be great for LSU in a featured roll.

Wasn’t nothing questionable about the targeting call. You can hit somebody in the pinky toe with the crown of the helmet, and it’ll be targeting.

The one problem is that word "if". The other top QBs don't have that attached.
