They're not tied to a hosting bowl rotation anymore. Locations go out for bids like final fours and superbowls. They've only announced through next season.

They needed a Republican in office. Every time LSU football has won a national title, a Republican has been president. We'll be good soon.

Ah yes, since the 2000 season there have been 4 national championship games held in the Superdome and it just so happens LSU has played in all 4 (with 3 different coaches) and not appeared in any of the others held elsewhere, what a coincidence.

You really think that was planned?

If New Orleans is awarded the 2027 season title game, you can go ahead and pencil us in. Or better yet, set it in stone. It will remain in the 4 year cycle. 2015, it wasn't there and we didn't make it. 2023, we would have made it, even though it wasn't in New Orleans, if we played ANY defense. This is no coincidence. God loves LSU. And if it aligns, LSU will be there with Trump cheering on his beloved tigers bringing his attendance record at LSU games (including 2019 natty) to 3-0.

It really is a crazy thing how Louisiana’s football team always gets to end the season, on a usually high note, in New Orleans, when it’s NOLA’s turn to host. It’s literally the Waterboy movie in real life.

The common thread among LSU national championships is that they only occur under Republican presidents.

So 2025-2028 is our window.

1908 - Theodore Roosevelt (R)
1958 - Dwight D. Eisenhower (R)
2003 - George W. Bush (R)
2007 - George W. Bush (R)
2019 - Donald J. Trump (R)

It didn't in 2015 or 2023.

We probably had a good shot at the BCS in 2005 minus 2 cat 5 hurricanes.

In 2006, you don't like our 2nd chance against Florida if SEC refs knew what a fricking PI was?

2012, all we have to do is stop 1 running play and we get to skullfrick Mizzou on the way to a BCS championship against fricking ND.

You could make decent arguments for 2013 and 2022 teams being good enough to play for a national championship.

There's no qanon or mysticism or any other kind of fairy dust bullshite about it. We just got lucky enough in 2003 and 2007, and were good enough in 2011 and 2019. The bigger tell is what happens in preseason. So, if Brian Kelly finds it pertinent enough to mention in a spring 2025 presser that Nussmeier and his receivers have been spending an unusual amount of time working together, then you can bet we're going to be in for a special season.

There was nothing lucky about 2003. GTFOH with that crap.

Taft didn’t take office until March of 1909, so Roosevelt was President when we won the natty in 1908. Not sure where the OP got 1906 from.
