When I read this board I always see those who are upset with miles and then those who are upset with those who are upset.
My question is why can't we hold Les Miles accountable? When I step back I see a program that used to be in the bcsnc conversation every year. Fans, we just lost the chik fil a bowl during the same year that we sent a record number of pros to the NFL. When do we stop using reloading as an excuse? Bama might win their 4th of the last 5 this year. Urban Meyer has not lost a game at OSU and his schedule contains better opponents than ole miss. A rebounding auburn team now sits better than us in the west. A team that looked more confident at the end of their loss to us than we did. Tennessee has a more marquis victory than we do this year. Missouri beat Florida with their back up QB worse than we did with far superior athletes. In every other industry, expectations are set on an individual level. Is Les Miles meeting expectations based on the situation he is in? We have a ton of top talent on our defense that is simply young. Is les miles still going to be excused if our defense goes back to number one and our offense is then rebuilding? Are we under NCAA sanctions? Do we have fewer scholarships than other teams? Is ole misses walk on de better than our scholarship de?

Sure, we are the winningest team if you go back to 2005, but what about now? What about last year? What about next year? What about our attendance declining? I go back to the jj jl situation. What about the bcsnc ? When is it ok to say that our coach needs to be held accountable?

Because we do not employ him. Only those under whom he works may hold him accountable.

Fans thinking they can "hold a coach accountable" for a football loss Jesus some of you have a high opinion of yourselves.

"Les owes us an explanation blah blah blah blah"

This fanbase isnt interested in just holding coaches accountable.

This fanbase panics and lashes out and becomes irrational and hysterical. This fanbase doesn't keep things in perspective. They much prefer to take illogical leaps and bounds into assanine statements that have no true bases in reality.

We were upset.
Shocking, sickening, disgusting as it is.
We were upset.
Our Qb threw 3 ints. Our defense failed numerous times. Our Oline had a really bad night. The coaches failed on every level.

For one week.

We were upset.

The program isnt unraveling before your very eyes as much as this fanbase loves that assertion.

We were upset.
You can only be upset when you are the favorite.

You have lost touch with reality if you believe LSU will now routinely lose games they once won with ease.
LSU "fans" have been panicking for quite a few years now.

What do you mean accountable? His job is held up to national scrutiny on public television every week...he's held accountable. What do you want to happen in this situation? What would soothe your feathers, what makes you think you deserve anything at all?

Really? It's the fans that support the program - no coach can be successful without the support of the fans. I was at LSU when the fans drove Mac out - remember the "Help Mac Pack" signs all over the stadium? Don't tell me that didn't have an effect on his getting fired.

Hmmm and with FSU, Miami being their strongest in 10-12 years picking a few of our top recruits.

Texas A&M strongest they been since RC slocum. talent we've had won't keep us winning those close games.

Well, I suppose time will tell, won't it.

I'm gonna just go ahead and watch what unfolds the next few years instead of goin apeshit stupid over what MIGHT or MIGHT not happen.

Like I said , LSU "fans" have been doom and gloom for quite awhile and one day maybe they will be right.

Mac's boss held him accountable for something. If you're Les' boss, knock yourself out. If you're not, know your place and be a fan.

Les is great. Stop being crazy, people.

We're probably gonna have the top recruiting class in the country.

We fans are the customers shelling out big bucks now to see the nonsense of Miles not being prepared for games. We, as the customers, are actually his employer because without us, he wouldn't have a job that pays him $4.6 million a year.

We can, but when you do the accountability check you have to include body of work and his body of work is hard to argue with.

quote:

Urban Meyer has not lost a game at OSU and his schedule contains better opponents than ole miss.

When making your argument please do not include Meyer and especially OSU. The Big Ten flat out sucks and OSU does not have to play BAMA every single year "and twice in 2011" as LSU does and as you pointed out they are in the running to win their 4th title out of the last 5yrs. And if OSU had to play Bama every year and the SEC schedule one thing I can promise you is that Meyer at OSU would not be undefeated. Why do you think Meyer hauled his arse up to OSU, he could not stand the heat in the SEC so he got the hell out. He is a chicken shite, he knows he can't compete. You don't see OSU trying to play any SEC teams do you?

Miles did make a change he hired Cameron, everything dictated he hire him when he did, and Miles stepped up and did it.

When we round up all sunshine pumpers and send them packing to the swamps. No TV, Internets, phones for them. That's when.

Fans are basically cheerleaders. They don't hold anybody accountable and next year will always be the best ever. It's denial, and rah-rah.

You clearly have a distorted view of what an employer and a customer are.

It was probably his record against Bama that got him fired, your signs didn't do anything.
