When I read this board I always see those who are upset with miles and then those who are upset with those who are upset.
My question is why can't we hold Les Miles accountable? When I step back I see a program that used to be in the bcsnc conversation every year. Fans, we just lost the chik fil a bowl during the same year that we sent a record number of pros to the NFL. When do we stop using reloading as an excuse? Bama might win their 4th of the last 5 this year. Urban Meyer has not lost a game at OSU and his schedule contains better opponents than ole miss. A rebounding auburn team now sits better than us in the west. A team that looked more confident at the end of their loss to us than we did. Tennessee has a more marquis victory than we do this year. Missouri beat Florida with their back up QB worse than we did with far superior athletes. In every other industry, expectations are set on an individual level. Is Les Miles meeting expectations based on the situation he is in? We have a ton of top talent on our defense that is simply young. Is les miles still going to be excused if our defense goes back to number one and our offense is then rebuilding? Are we under NCAA sanctions? Do we have fewer scholarships than other teams? Is ole misses walk on de better than our scholarship de?

Sure, we are the winningest team if you go back to 2005, but what about now? What about last year? What about next year? What about our attendance declining? I go back to the jj jl situation. What about the bcsnc ? When is it ok to say that our coach needs to be held accountable?

leaders make changes as they are needed, not way after the fact.

I would like to remind everyone that had ole miss not given up the ball to us on several turnovers late in the game that our near comeback would have not happened. Those interceptions occurred after we were behind and after we had already failed multiple times to run the ball.

I noticed the philosophical change after we took an early lead against Auburn. We tried to start milking the clock and then struggled to go back to passing offense. We were very fortunate that we were able to reestablish an aggressive offense after the first half versus auburn.

its not just play calling, its a mindset. Our defense came out great against ole miss, but when our offense failed to establish an early lead, ole miss had time to make adjustments AND remain balanced.

When you're a 22 yo QB and your down to ole miss before your coach even starts to call aggressive routes, you're gonna go for the deep route because you're pissed your down to an inferior opponent.

I do not blame our defense that much because they gave us the opportunity early to make ole miss give up. I commend chavis for bringing many db blitzes in this game. There were times when Wallace just made great plays. That last drive was from a rested, full strength offense that had nothing to lose.

I will say this about our defense, our dts do not get pressure. It looked to me almost as if they were keeping the inside lanes closed instead of pass rushing which leads me to believe chavis does not have enough confidence to spy with an lb.

No depth at dt? We have five star recruits that didn't pan out dude like Mickey johnson
Lets just all be fair:

1.) The Jalens were not at all impressive last year. This has been punctuated wrong. They weren't exploited last year because we had a top notch pass rush.

2.) They haven't regressed, they are just the exact same which is, I hate to be the one to say it, but legitimate three star/ barely four star recruits that turned out to be as advertised and not these diamonds in the rough we hoped for because we kept losing recruiting battles for better DBS.

3.) Our MLB is not agile enough to make mlb blitzes viable (they have to overload the middle and get there quick, we tried and welter whiffed BC he isnot quick laterally)

4.) Chavis is trying to run HIS defense now which is much more similar to a legit 4-3 AND I think he's so used to having good DBS that he was going for a bend don't break (soft zone no big plays hopefully get a pick) type defense instead of realizing that we were out matched and you might as well bring the heat and get lucky instead of giving up a guaranteed td hoping Murray would make a mistake.
At the end of the day, UGA started rolling the dice with blitzes realizing that they wouldn't get the stop so what's difference between an 80 yard td and 4 20 yard passes? We failed to ACCEPT that we couldn't get the stop and did not gamble for the victory.
Best one loss team? Murray lead team to victory? I would love to ask Mark May who he would put money on in tiger stadium. This is why we have to get rid of polls. LSU might have some defensive woes but ee haven't had uga at home in three games now. We lost to a great team at their home by three points and the media is praising Murray and uga for pulling a field goal victory out at their home stadium when we shot ourselves in the foot.

I hope we bench mills and Collins and rr and TW come in and we rematch uga in a neutral field and clobber them.
Per the poster who broke the play calling down, I was wrong about the play calling so that's good news, but I so not see the logic in making arguments based on stereotypes of ranters or player comments.

Of anything, those comments just show how great the leadership is on the team this year. My assumption is that they would say that if we kneeled it the entire second half, because champions don't blame play calling.
Lol, fish, I'm not attacking les miles, and I think everyone knows that a. Its chavis's defense and b. Les has historically been very involved in the offense
Look, its entirely reasonable to be suspicious after seeing a long needed offensive presence this season suddenly begin to look like years past at certain points in this game. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but my opinion is that cam Cameron unleashes hell on opponents for three games and then, in the first sec game, AT TIMES, it felt like Lester was calling plays and that is scary. I thought the overall offense was fantastic, but from a playcalling perspective, it felt like les at times. You're right, I am freaking out, because I don't want to see cam bring is to a 14pt lead at half versus a team like Georgia, then Lester saying let's burn the clock, then, if Georgia comes back, us not be able to turn it back on.
Per the subject, is no one else concerned? I understand running the clock out and going home, but the three and out running attack began in the second and I really would not be surprised if that contributed to more of the fans leaving than the normal half time exodus. A win is a win, but it sucked seeing that auburn team at full throttle while we fell asleep with the bitter taste of the Clemson game still in my mouth.

It begs the question, did we lose the Clemson game just because of offense, or is there a just a strong correlation with losing momentum when trying to run out the clock? (auburn, Clemson, North Carolina, Tennessee05)
