What’s your biggest concern heading into game 1?
Brennan's accuracy.

I don't want to park where they want me to park

Explaining to my 8 year old why the stadium is so empty. Late last spring she casually said corona sucks and she wanted her regular life back. My wife mentioned language and daughter looked at her and said sorry mom but it does.
Brennan's accuracy will be fine once he gets the adrenaline under control.

I was at that game vs Mahomes. All I can say is, Mahomes. Normal college qb's can't do what he could do in college. Just when us LSU fans thought he was sacked, he slithered out and threw a bullet. He played on a whole different level than the rest of the college football world.

Biggest concern is Bo Pellini's cussing will be audible with the lack of fans

Offensive line protecting Brennan and defensive getting pressure.

Other than maybe running out of ice at my "homegate", nothing, its time to see what kind of a team we have.

I’m concerned with the lines. The offensive line looks solid, but depth is a concern. The defensive line looks weak due to graduations, early departures, and opt-outs.
I also worry about quality depth at reciever.

Same as every year, the oline.

Defensive effectiveness. You can attack all you want but if you dont get to the QB in time they will throw over the top of you and put a lot of pressure on our young secondary. Leach and his QB, Costello, are experienced at this but I dont know how good the MSU offense will be at it because of installing a new offense in the midst of all the corona restrictions.

Mike Leach early in the year.
Leach offenses have typically looked really bad when he first takes over. It's a system based on a LOT of repetition and rapport between the QB and receivers. They've had basically zero time to get in reps and build chemistry.

Defense will not be ready for this type of attack and have never played one like it.
I don't think you really know what you're talking about. Air raid torches teams that are afraid to play press coverage, and struggle when playing good DBs who are in press. When have LSU DBs ever shied away from press coverage? The only way we'll be "not read for this type of attack" is if our best is inexplicably not ready to do the thing its consistently known for being the best at.

Mine are the false starts, offsides and those unforced penalties.
For the defense...
Poor tackling. That's always an issue for any team early if they don't beat it into their heads and drill it constantly and then it's still a problem until you have live action against an opponent. For everybody, every year.
Add to that the truncated practices earlier in the year and it is a worry. Normally I trust the coaches have them as good as it gets, but the whole jacked up practice schedule it may be something that shows up.
In the games we've seen (primarily Big 12) it has been an issue. Hopefully moving the SEC season back and getting that practice time back does the trick.

Myles Brennan.

Brennan looking like a real starting QB, O Line stepping up.

This is true if I you have experienced corners that know how to use leverage in press. Even Stingley struggled against WRs last year bc they were that - experienced. Flott better have improved a lot. Who knows with the others if you’re playing 5 dbs and one of the safety’s are liability in coverage like our senior leader.
quote:great point for this team. Do they have the same receivers and QB from last year or is it a total rebuild of players? I really don’t know.
