Pap was a brick wall with a cannon and went yard from both sides of the plate at TD.

He’s basically a superhero.

Matt Liuzza was a douche bag. That's all I got.

Papierski's defense really set a bar for catchers. A shame his bat didn't really click until late in his junior year.

Feduccia for sure.

Coomes wasn’t recruited to catch. He didn’t even catch in Juco. He was forced to catch because Pap wasn’t producing at times and Feduccia didn’t produce at all.

I don’t know what you’re worse at, posting on the internet or project estimation

Adrian Antonini
absolutely in the conversation as far as defensive catchers, but not in the conversation with his hitting or overall athleticism.

Skip on Adrian: "He has deceptive speed. He's slower than he looks."

Papierski, Cresse, Lanier, Gary Hymel...

I think Micah Gibbs and Brad Cresse are the top 2 catches LSU has ever had. I don’t say Pap, because it took his bat awhile to come around.

We have had some pretty horrific catching last season and this season. Worse than I can ever remember. Feduccia was terrible last season, and Mathis hasn’t been much better this season.

Until recently we've actually had some pretty damn good catchers it's hard to pick best.

But from the position standpoint Pap was fire behind the plate.

Including offense Gibbs was solid, Cresse was really good too

Gotta be Brad Cresse. That dude was unreal. If my memory serves me right he also had a game winner in the cws so he was pretty damn clutch too.

Yep I was coming to say Faulkner or Gary Hymel. Recall Keith Osik playing all 9 positions one game as well.

IDK if he was the best but my favoriet catcher was Kade Scivique. I loved the way he would catch the last strike of the inning and run to the dugout before the ump even made a call. He also hit like .375 so theres that.

Worst catcher would be Bryce Jordan. He only started a few games but he was atrocious. Not really his fault cuz I don't think he ever really practiced it until they all of a sudden needed him.
