I’m not a big fan of Corso, but I will never forget what he said on the air when Faulk was being discussed for the Heisman. (Referring to Cecil Collins), Corso said, “How can Kevin win the Heisman, when he’s not even the best running back on his own team?”

Billy Cannon - Heisman; College Football Hall of Famer
Jim Taylor - NFL Hall of Famer
Kevin Faulk - LSU all time rusher
Derrius Guice - will be the LSU all time rusher if he stays
Cecil Collins/Leonard Fournette - would have been the LSU all time rushers

People either forget or just dont know that Harvey Williams was a 1st round pick in 1991 and my starting fullback would be Tommy Banks, who was so underutilized.

Garland Jean Baptiste could have won multiple Heismans behind that OL.

1. Billy Cannon - Heisman
2. Leonard Fournette
3. Kevin Faulk - Yard holder
4. Jerry Stovall - Heisman 2nd And was robbed by regional votes in one of the closest races ever.
5. Charles Alexander - Heisman fith in voting

If Guice stays he makes the list.

Now all you freaking shits go ahead and leave.

Watching his legend grow on the rant has been amazing. 4 games. that's it. he never replicated that production ever again. it's like jerry seinfeld and "the big race".

Guice highlight runs vs. Collins highlight runs are NO contest in favor of Guice. Same with Fournette.

If collins wasn't a pervert and in his 100% prime he still would not make top 5.

And the "broken leg" excuse it's not like he ripped up ligaments in his knee. he broke a lower leg bone. people come back from that all the time with no drop off in production; he could barely get it done at McNeese and averaged like 3 YPC in the NFL. Over. Rated.

Fournette
Hilliard
Cannon
Faulk
Guice

That is the list.

Collins could run, but he could never remember his pass blocks.

If some of y'all are picking Cecil just off a few games, Then...

Justin Vincent, LF, Broussard, all had impressive stretches of games and against top notch competition.

One of those held the single game record for 10 years or so, the other holds all the records. The other won the sec and national title.

Garland was a beast. He was not given the opportunity he deserved and was misused by Arnsparger. Another other-worldly talent wasted by the man.

The OP left out the only LSU Heisman winner, who happened to be a running back... Incredible. Absolutely incredible.

It's almost impossible to make that list. This is very obvious due to the list being all over the map. They're some great and I mean great backs in LSU history. Narrowing down to 5 is almost impossible.

Billy Cannon
At 6'1 210, by no means would be a small back in today's game.
Jim Taylor
6'0 215, listed as a fullback but carried the ball as a RB.

I wanted to list those two because if we are just going by what they did at LSU, neither are on any of the top 10 all time records.

1. Kevin Faulk
5'8 202. Electric and the numbers and what he did speak for itself as the all time leading rusher at LSU.

2. Dalton Hilliard
5'8 200, He just has to go here from what he did at LSU alone not even talking about what he did with the Saints.

3. Charles Alexander
6'1 225. With size and speed, one of the all time great's period!

4. Leonard Fournette
6'1 230. With speed, power and well we know the rest.

5. Derrius Guice
5'11 220. He just goes here.

The numbers don't lie so I just went with what they say
