I like the guy's style, but Kenny Hilliard is as good or better than Ware has been all season, injury or not. That's why he is and will continue to be the 1st guy out and I think will get 15+ carries.
Ware may get 5-7

First of all, I think Hilliard is gonna be amazing before leaving Baton Rouge. We are starting to see glimpses.
But, I still think Ware is underrated. I agree he hasn't been hitting the hole as fast as earlier in the season. I just think he knows all the plays and as mentioned before is the best blocker.
Also, I think part of our MO this year is to punish people and wear them down. Ware relishes in this. In fact, I don't think he gets enough credit for how much he punishes the fresh defense. Defenses key on him, but it takes a lot to bring him down and it probably hurts trying to tackle him.
Believe me, a few hard licks/bruises early in a game can alter your play for the rest of it. And he doesn't turn the ball over, which is important early in games when the opposition thinks they have a chance.
The coaches selecting him all SEC says a lot.

I think he's running just as hard. However, his number of carries has been reduced with the emergence of KH. Also, the Tigers run most of their passing plays when Ware is in the game due to him being the best rb receiver.

If Ware runs a 4.8 electric that would be impressive. He needs to slim down and/or lose fat. He's carrying an 8-month beer baby.

He runs with his head down!!! Dude do yall watch football or just look at football???

I think this too.
People always talked about ford being the better back, which may be true, but I don't think ford would have been as good early in the season without ware doing the dirty running.

I don't know but KH27 has been doing work.

This. I just think if there is a bellcow back on this team, it's him. He is a TR type back, power, burst, and wiggle. Great vision too.
The misdirection play vs Auburn where he gained like 20yds was incredible.

ware is very much a slasher when he wants to be. I thing the coaches might be telling him to "relish" the contact

I think at the beginning of the season, we saw Ware carry the rock a lot in the 4th quarter as well as in the first quarter. He benefited from the wearing down of the defense mainly because he and Ford were wearing them down. But it seems that a lot of the carries as the season has gone on are going to Hilliard and Blue late. So Ware is getting the tough carries earlier when the defense is fresh and not as much when the defense is worn down.

There's just no comparing Ware from the second half of Miss St to more recent games; I assume he's dinged up.

This. Every time he gets the ball its like he seeks out to hit someone when theres a hole he could easily cut to. It seems like a 4 yd run with a truck stick on someone > a 10-15 run
I agree with this. He does not look tired, but he runs with his head down and often misses holes. I would like to seem him look up a little. Still, we use him in a good deal of obvious run situations where the defense is stacked. Who can complain with 4 backs with more than 7 TD's.

It looks like he's playing a little heavy, maybe knicked as he's not as nimble in the hole as before. The biggest problem is vision, he is getting what's blocked, but not feeling out the smaller creases and exploding through them. I think if he waited a half step before lowering his shoulder into the hole he would see more lanes open and get those big chunks we are used to.

I love Ware as a runner. Punishing. But I just looked at highlights from beginning and end of the season, and he does look like he put on a few pounds. Maybe related to minor injury, as some have suggested.

I believe Ware is a threat to catch the ball out of the backfield as well, just hasn't been utilized much in that role.

Just Move Ware to LB. Loves to hit, pretty good speed and we have tons of depth at RB while lacking depth and quality at LB.

Lots of reasonable explanations offered in this thread. It may be a combo of them all, with no primary reason.
May have added weight to be THE big back of the rb crew. Especially if he saw the Hilliard Train coming down the track.
With his early season style he exposed himself to extra pounding. He gave more than he got, but it must have taken a toll.
I wonder how much of the early season comments from Miles about his running style led him to emphasize it to the point the point that it has.

He is getting those early game carries when the opponents defense is fresh. Look for him and Hilliard to get the ball on screens and flares on Jan 9. LM saves the best for last.
