Still better than Ed Orgeron by a long shot. At least BK speaks English and isn’t only concerned with chasing 40 year old fish dogs.

Did he? Or did the media idiots on Twitter? I recall BK saying this program still had another year to be where we need to be.

Nobody said that but when you attempt almost 100 more passes but still don’t equal the yards or TDs claiming the guy had a better year is false.

Wtf are you talking about, 100 more passes than who? You’re trying (poorly) to argue the details & the fact is JD had one of the better years as a QB last year than we’ve ever had at LSU & he will be better this year.

He’s not mediocre, which was my initial argument

The one thing about Coach O, coming out of 2018 he knew he needed to do something with the Offense. He went and got Joe Brady, who was an unknown pretty much, and teamed him up with Ensminger. He held onto Arranda. So Coach O got a great group of coordinators together.
Hopefully BK can have the same success in getting coordinators. As of now, I'm not impressed with either.

And I never argued that, I just said put the numbers into a standardized comparison. Avg per game, ypp, rating etc…. You didn’t just say he was above mediocre, you used volume stats to elevate him above guys that were better.

By no means a nega-Tiger, but we were full non-competitive the entire 2nd half vs FSU. Did NOT see that coming and the coaching decisions were some head scratchers.

I know, a team can improve leaps-n-bounds after G1. Hoping for that and a revenge-rematch with FSU.

we were close in the first half because fsu receivers dropped 3 balls that killed drives. you can talk about our drops, which is true, but if they don't drop theirs we could've been down by 17-21 at the half. and we didn't get better. we didn't look like we were ready to start play. it's great that you can see how this big minus isn't so bad, and be so optimistic. i have no desire to talk you out of it, but many of us are very concerned about what we saw with our eyes.

After what happened versus FSU the last thing they should have been is disinterested. Regardless of the opponent. I don't disagree with most of your statement but that jumped out at me.

The fact is that Daniels is far better than mediocre compared to what we’ve historically had at LSU. You guys just want 2019 Burrow every year which is unrealistic

Daniels was comparable to 2018 Burrow in passing numbers, considering Daniels had one more game.

Max Johnson, on the other hand threw 27 TDs in 12 games as a sophomore. Blows JD out of the water.

Zach Mettenberger threw 22 TDs in 13 games in 2013. He had a horrible year in 2012, I'll give you that one.

As a bonus, Jamarcus Russell threw 28 TDs in 13 games.

Daniels is comparable to those guys in yardage, but as far as scoring points in the passing game? Mediocre. Dude doesn't ever try to score TD's...he's a game manager at best and folds up if he can't throw short.

But of course you take that and hyperbolize the shite out of it.

Exactly. It’s not that we believe JD is some superstar QB. He isn’t. We just trust that the coaching staff knows who gives us the best chance to win the most games. Or maybe, Nuss is actually really good BUT the rest of the team isn’t completely ready for a serious run at a championship BUT if Nuss played this year, he’d likely be drafted leaving us with a decent (but not championship season) and being back to square one with the QB next season but with a team that if it had a good and ready QB could make a serious run at a championship. My entire argument for being fine with JD as the QB is that there may be other reasons we just are not privy to that he is the starter and this coaching staff would know that information so I trust them. He’s also not exactly a terrible QB (We’ve had much much worse over the years) though he is limited.

Sometimes you make decisions based on the future and not the present.

He also gets way too much hate here. Even when he does pretty good he still gets shite on. His performance this year so far beats 95% of the teams on our schedule (and maybe even the rest of the teams on our schedule as no one stands out in the SEC this year) I’d argue he gets far more hate than Danny Etling ever got and he’s as good as or a better QB than Etling was. Etling couldn’t “read a defense” any better than JD but both play/ed with a ton of heart and drive and for that, they both earned my respect.

Lol.

‘Barely lost’.

Try BLOWN OUT.

Out scored 31-7 in the 2nd half, on National TV.

LSU wont win more than 4 SEC games this year.

Just accept it and deal with it.

We had a year of buildup for this team and expected to win that FSU game. I wasted thousands of dollars on tickets and travel to go to the game only to see us play uninspired and sit out several players that could have helped us win.

With that said, I do expect us to be 7-1 going into Alabama.

I wouldn't say a bad throw. It wasn't a great throw. But it was nabors fault for running out of bounds, it's the recievers responsibility to stay in bounds. Jayden put the ball where it was supposed to go so only nabors could catch it.

The actual bad part of that play was that the hot route was actually Brian Thomas. He was supposed to pick the corner then run to the left for a touchdown. He got pressed at the line and gave up on the play by standing around in place. You can watch Jayden go through his progressions from right to left starting at Thomas, looks at every reciever, then goes back to Thomas who notices that Jayden still has time. Thomas then decides to cut inside to the open zone but Jayden had already started throwing the ball to nabors who had started running back across the endzone. Thomas killed the play with poor execution.

Newsflash: JD scored 27 TDs last year.
