That 2012 Bama game was so frickin hype. From like 45 min before kickoff, fans were just going nuts. Despite the loss, one of the best games to be at.

most underrated noise game in tiger stadium is 2012 south carolina.

we were just coming off the ugly 14-6 loss at florida, and their d-line was ridiculously talented and intimidating. you could tell the crowd knew the team needed everything they had that night. the thing that made the crowd so great that night is that it wasn't a nervous crowd like it was for the 2012 bama game. the crowd believed we were going to win from the opening kick, despite the fact that a lot of people were unsure of that fact before the game started.

Demetrius Byrd’s TD to beat Auburn was the one I can think of right off hand

I was there for the 07 Florida and Auburn games, as well as this Bama game. I think it was 08..? And we lost in OT if I remember correctly..?

The '08 Bama game was about as consistently loud as I can recall, at least through the first half. Obviously it ended with a whimper.

2008 when we blocked Bamas field goal.

2007 Florida

2014 Yeldon fumble

2012 Mettenburger to Landry

Wild card: 2011 Arkansas at the beginning of the game. Crowd was defining on that 1st drive.

Since about 1968......I've been to over 200 games in Tiger Stadium. I used to "work" the games and had a "Pass", as well as a student ID for 8 years.

When LSU beat #1 Fla (at night) in 1997......something I've never experienced before or after occurred. It was LOUD pretty much the entire game......but at some point toward the end of the 3rd quarter...... it started building. And it continued. It stayed LOUD continuously through the 4th. But with about 10 to 3 mins remaining in the game.....
IT GOT BEYOND LOUD!

And then it happened. It was like a "shift". It was beyond weird.
IT GOT SOOO LOUD.......IT GOT QUIET!!
IT WAS LIKE WHITE NOISE. ONE CONTINUOUS "DIN"!

LSU vs Auburn 1995

That is my pick, because I wasn’t at the others. There was a timeout before the last play, which was the INT to seal the win. It just ratcheted up to a fever pitch. There was 6+ years of frustration poured into that moment. I remember me and others in the drumline pounding our instruments in the mahem after the last play before we had to start playing. It was really fricking loud. I’m sure there have been louder moments, but that one sticks out for me.

The other one is a game no one remembers and for good reason. It was the Bama game in 1996. It was GameDay’s first trip to BR. It was to decide the West. LSU has the better team. All they had to do was go out and prove it.

I was not a section leader, but I was a senior and one of the section leaders let me count off the drumline to start pregame. Because of how big the game was, the house was packed and it got really loud before I started counting off. If you ever watch the drumline right before Pregame starts, you can see them all moving in time before the first note. There’s a reason for that, even for a normal game. You can’t hear yourself think down there. It’s hard to describe. You can literally FEEL the sound down on the field. I yelled “1, 2, 3, 4” louder than I ever have created sound from my mouth in my life and the guys on either side of me never heard it. That gave me a new appreciation for what QBs have to go through on the field. It’s an experience I’ll never forget.

If only the game lived up to that. An opening drive TD called back. A missed FG. Herb Tyler gets hurt. Damn. What could have been. I’m still glad I got to count off Pregame that one time, though.

USC "79. I was in the student section and yes it was. I had a friend who was listening to it overseas on a shortwave radio and said he could hardly hear the announcers and couldn't hear any of the last 2 minutes. He had to wait for the International Herald Tribune the next morning so see who won the game.

but something special happened for Florida vs. LSU in 1997 and it was in the air from well before kickoff to well past 3am and the students and other attendees made it home.

It started in the student section with a Gator fan or band member took a giant gator flag to the NW lower bowl. A drunk LSU student took the flag from the dumbass FL fan. The guy ran back to the student section with the flag and the dumbass FL dude chased him. As soon as he got close he passed it up one row and teased him with it. Then some stadium officials tried to help him retrieve it and they passed that flag all the way to the upper deck and tossed it out of the stadium. This was well before game time and barely 5K had trickled in but the roar started there.

After the game, traffic was all jacked up so i decided to take the lake roads back. They were running over fake gators in the street and I saw one dude running around naked. My nephew who was 12 at the time was blown away

I was also 12 at the time and my brother 9. I’ll never forget the madness in the stadium and out, or the look my mother gave my father before saying absolutely not when my brother and I pleaded with him to let us run onto the field. We were already at the fence and my dad looked back at her with a smirk before the three of us jumped to the dismay of my mother

Florida 97
What nobody is talking about is the chance that this week will be the loudest. A couple of new variables have been put in play. First booze. Second the offense. It will be much easier to have sustained noise when there is alot to cheer about. I know that we don’t yell while offense is out there, but it won’t be the few and far between big plays. Everybody’s lungs will stay loose.

USC 1979, not even close. And I've been to all the other big games from 1973 on.

I'd put Florida 97 second.
