The more I think about all the offseason hype about massive overhaul with zero actually changing, and with some of what was bad actually getting worse, you have got to wonder....

if was thinking this the other day. Had it been discussed whether or not he actually begged to keep his job last year? Or did the politicians just squash it b/c of the cost?

This is starting to make the most sense. If he retires, he won't get his paycheck and possibly Cam and BDP get screwed with the Miles clause. Miles won't do that to his buddies.

Think long and hard about that idea. Ruin his reputation just to piss off a shitload of people?
He may not be a great gameday coach, but I don't think he's as passive aggressive as some 14-year-old, scorned girl.

If that's the case, then we'd really see some exciting offense.
He needs to embrace the Mad Hatter moniker, now. It's his only chance. Punts on 2nd and 3rd downs. Lining up in a swinging gate to run a draw. Trying that "center hands QB the ball" trick all the Pee-Wee kids use, and doing it 3-5x against Alabama. Right at the pregame handshake with the opposing coach, Miles needs to ingest a handful of grass and be chewing it, then immediately start puking grubs that he'd stored in his insides earlier. Stuff like that.

0% chance. If you think he would purposely Sabotage these players season out of spite, you're as dumb as Miles. He's just too stubborn to realize what he's doing isn't what's actually best for LSU/players.

It's extremely far-fetched, and ridiculous, but I'll admit, the thought crossed my mind. You aren't the only one who considered this as a possible occurrence.
