WE all know he's an excellent rebounder.

He's going to excel this year having help on the block. He won't have to play out of position with Eason and Reid taking care of the lower

This is a valid point. He will have help on the block.

Are people really counting on him to be the star of the team?

I’m not sure what part of that you think I’m arguing.

Scores at the rim. Hits 3’s. Rebounds. He’s good at all these things. Great complimentary player

Ok Lester, and I agree that he likely won’t be our best overall player btw but so far as he’s been asked to do more his efficiency hasn’t declined and in some cases has improved. So let’s say his inside shots climb from 4 per game to 6 or 8 per game, his 3point productivity wouldn’t even have to improve and his free throws go up to where they were his soph year, 1.8 per game, he could easily average 16-17ppg and would be considered our best player. There’s a reason he’s pre-season All-SEC. Again you might be right but dismissing the alternative out of hand is unreasonable.

If he’s “the guy” he’s going to be defended differently & all those things just do not carry over in a vacuum.

I think he could score 16 a game. How good will lsu be & what is his efficiency going to look like? That’s the question.

I don’t think you’ll see a situation like for example when we had Johnny O’Bryant where teams can just collapse on him even if he would lead the scoring. We have far too many weapons to be leaving guys open and we’ve seen Wade use a couple post guys before without that happening in Naz and Reath. Of course we’re both arguing hypotheticals all I’m saying is the more he’s been asked to do the more he’s excelled so it wouldn’t surprise me if he makes another jump in production that could lead to him going from a 4th option to a top 2 on this team. It happens in college a lot with experienced guys plus he was already one of our 2 locker room leaders last year.

Agree that with this many new players we will see lots of different lineups before SEC. Wade likes to mix and match a lot until he settles on his 8 rotation.
