I think it's a little better than "solid" lol

Best in the country (arguable) last season and one of our best strengths this season.

Our outstanding running backs did a lot of cut backs where holes were closed. They made our O line look good, not the other way around.

Grimes sucks and our Oline has steadily declined since he's been here. It was him who convinced Miles we didn't need true Tackles all we needed was 5 good run blockers to be successful

Seems we would be a GREAT spot for top-level JUCO options at OT/OG. Gotta get this right, it all starts up front in the SEC.

Is everyone in here trolling one another? Pro Football Focus had us as the best OLine over last season.

In run blocking, we were pretty outstanding overall (a couple struggle games, but not bad at all), but it was 3 of the 5 guys who just graded out really high, the 2 tackles did not grade out nearly as high. We are very proficient between the tackles, the tackle position has been an issue for a few years now. Which I suppose all the running we've been doing has masked a lot of deficiencies we've had at tackle. K.J. Malone was never meant to start at left tackle, and now he's having to do it for 2 years in a row. Maea Teheuma as well was never supposed to be a tackle, but he's has to play there some as well. Weathersby couldnt stay healthy at tackle last year, and we're really really counting on him to be solid there this whole season there. Last year we just had some huge holes for depth at tackle, and even started a LT we didn't really want to start there, same goes for RT when Weathersby was out. Grimes has had very little luck with the tackle position since he's been here. He's had a bunch of guys either quit on him or transfer out.

They are getting their shite pushed in by Louisville on TV right now.

I notice that last night as well. Malone and Teuhema looked terrible in pass blocking.

Rob Sale is also another name to keep an eye out for. He is at Arizona now with stops at Georgia, ULM, and McNeese.

If one hole is closed, another one was opened. Who opened it? The O-line.

Quote Head Coach Ed Orgeron after Alabama lost last year. "We need bigger and stronger interior lineman to hang with Alabama, and that is what I'm going to do. Recruit bigger stronger linemen."

Bigger LSU

"Notable changes highlight LSU's updated heights and weights

LSU updated the Tigers’ 2017 roster with the most recent measurables and here is a look at some notable differences from last year, along with where the true freshmen are at".

We were already thin, and attrition so far:
Andy Dodd quits before his sr. season
Willie Allen transfers
K.J. Malone was going to quit, but was talked into returning
Seth Stewart decides not to play

And now Teuhema's not practicing due to academics. You've got the entire off season to get that straight but Orgeron and Grimes don't get it done.

Can't think of one good reason why he was retained.

Time for a change there.

I for one expected change at the OL coach. Only reason I was disappointed in O's start as HC.

The best coaches make their own luck. If they're quitting on him then maybe he's the problem.

Kid doesn't make grades. Coaches held responsible

You're about as bright as Teuhema

They can't take the dudes tests for him. At some point the student athlete has to take responsibility for himself.

I can take this excuse, grades, for one or two guys but grimes sure is starting to set the trend in guys Quitting, transferring. He is the guy talking to these guys and vouching for them to come to LSU. If he is getting guys that are questionable he should be held for the mess we are in!
