Tell me if Jalen Cook is eligible and I'll tell you. He's a huge difference....

Is there a timeline for that decision? Is he allowed to participate in Team activities until the NCAA rules?

Relying on the NCAA to rule in LSU MBB favor doesn’t feel great.

Are you talking about overall or in the SEC? Because that's a huge difference.

If Cook is eligible we win 7-9 conference games. If not I’d say 3-4.

No record predications can be given unless we know we will have a point guard or not.
No PG = pathetic…. so all tiger fans waiting on Jalen Cook news

I think that's fair. As I've said before, what I'd like to see is progress in the program, both individual and team development and improvement over the course of the season, something IMHO was severely lacking last year.

You can be lacking in relative talent and still underachieve...IMHO that's what we saw last year and that's a bad combination.

How about we overachieve this year relative to our talent. I think that would be something that along with a good recruiting class would give me some hope, something I don't have much of right now.

Wasn't there a rumor going around that they had a secret scrimmage with Tulsa and lost?

Ken pom has us at 17-12 (8-10)

taken into account the ooc tournament and sec tournament I would say if we can finish around 16/17 wins total that would be a decent season, wouldn't be happy with it but that should be the bar.

With his next recruiting class, assuming it stays together, his seat won't get too hot if he goes 8-10 in the SEC.

Screw that, Kelly had 39 scholarship players when he took over and won the west in year one.

Who do people continue this lie?

We had 39 playing in the bowl game with a lot more who sat out or who were injured.

So if that 39 how many didn’t return under Kelly due to being seniors or transferring?

Bottom line, he was working with a ridiculously shitty roster situation.

Who cares? Saying that was how many scholarship players he had is a lie.

No one is denying there were problems with the roster. The straight up lies and exaggerations are just stupid.

This was presumably WITH Cook playing too...

trying to conflate the two by using a straw man is very disingenuous.

You are right, but this is the rant in a nutshell. It’s a very tribalistic place here.

He did not have the massive dark cloud hanging over the program that McMahon had last year.

Would you rather inherent a team that made the tournament the previous year.
Or a team that went 2-16 in conference the previous year. 10-21 overall.

No it's not! He's like the Gumps who live in a trailer but have 50 yardline tickets. Priorities!
