Your problem is you are confusing a difference of opinion with a lack of knowledge or information. Given LSU's issues pitching, saving your good pitching for the competitive games and pitching the warm bodies as you take on the weakest 4 seed in years is the best bet to advance out of the regional. Fretting over maybe needing Dutton later and him already pitching is not the issue. The issue is setting up the competitive games to where you are unlikely to need Dutton because you have the competent members of the pen.

He's kind of capped at a 9-15 batter guy. His best outings have been when he knows he's only going one inning. It's good to know both of those things to be able to work around them.

Yap, he isn’t going to pitch deep into a game effectively.

They’ve waited all year for Hurd to flash some type of consistency, and he finally has. I cannot see them not playing on that.

Has pitched 5ip & into the 6th in both of his last outings. Tulane is a perfect spot to continue to test that. Should leave a little wiggle room if things go bad. But if he can get you 6ip, that’s huge. Even if it’s at the expense of 4er

Hurd in G1.

If he's got his A-game, then he should be good for 7 or 8 innings. And if not, then replace him early and recycle him for later use in the regionals when he might have it.

Game 1: Hurd
Game 2: Skenes
Game 3: Floyd
Game 4 (if necessary): Everyone else except for Little.

My approach (and what I expect LSU will do):
Game 1: Hurd, Money, maybe Little
They won't be your best pitchers, but you want a combination of 'good enough', and 'can throw a lot of pitches without tiring'. You want to NOT use a lot of guys, and you also want to save your best arms for the 2-3 games vs Oregon State (expected opponent afterwards).

Game 2: Skenes, and whoever it takes (except Floyd) to finish it.
Game 3: Floyd, and whoever is left, while possibly holding Coleman out (depends on the score).
Game 4 if neccesary: Coleman + whoever is available for innings.
Not sure where Cooper comes into play; he can eat innings if necessary. Not sure you waste that on Tulane, or risk it against Oregon State's lineup if it's close.

I’m confident Cooper and Money will throw strikes and get the W

Start one or the other Friday and have the other come in as relief. They are going to give up a few hits, and Money will give up 2 HR, but they both throw strikes.

Save all your other starters for the next 2 games and the if necessary game.

I think coleman money in game one, maybe bring in hurd to close. This keeps him available out of the pen later in the week. Then skenes, floyd, wholestaff.

They were using Dutton in leverage situations just last week.

That’s kind of the issue, the pen is not good, there is no real hierarchy. It’s better to have options & availability then to not. Because anyone can blow up at any moment.

LOL, why don’t you throw in Thompson to get some wild pitches in for good measure.

I still say Floyd in game 1
Can’t take any chances that Hurd can deliver a win

As the game approaches, I’m starting to feel this way too.

I say this because after looking at the pitching depth for Oregon State and SHS, in a game 4 scenario, they have nothing left. Going 2-0 is your biggest advantage.

If you can’t beat Tulane with whoever you throw you are not winning this regional
It’s that simple
I would go Hurd

Someone other than Skenes or Floyd is going to have to deliver a victory to win the regional. Game 1 is the best opportunity to do that.
