Carmouche was unhittable over like 11 or 12 innings pitched last weekend. Do you look at a bad outing in March or focus on how he's thrown the last two times out?

It’s not just March though. In his two appearances prior to last weekend he only went 5 IP total, giving up 16 H and 15 R (14 ER) against Memphis and Houston. Tulane had lost 5 straight games he started prior to last weekend and 11 of 14 overall.

Tulane's offense played way above their heads in the AAC tourney. Do you assume they come back down to earth this weekend?

It really was just the one weekend for a team that was terrible offensively all year. They got run ruled twice the weekend before against Memphis scoring only 2 runs in each of those games. They scored 4 or less in 6 of 9 AAC games headed into the tournament.

Think about how bad the Mississippi State pitching staff has been the last two years. And then remember that he wasn't good enough to pitch there.
