Pretty much every game that season gave some very memorable moments for me. I don’t think I could narrow it down…the whole season was just a perfect storm of everything coming together and it was a wild ride.
Georgia Southern - offense came out and showed us some things we had never seen. We looked like a legit offense, and it was exciting…I think we were all real nervous going into week 2
Texas - this one showed that yes, it was legit, not just a good showing against a subpar team. From the pre game antics by Texas, not giving our team water or working AC, shooting a cannon through Joe’s jersey…they messed around and pissed the man off. Joe showed complete control of the offense and a killer instinct late in the game.
NW State - meh game
Vandy - for some reason, Vandy decided to shite talk Joe pre game and early on. He goes on to throw for 5 TDs in 3 quarters and reminded their sideline after each one. People should really stop pissing him off.
Utah State - fun to me just because this was my first game to watch the 2019 team in person. I remember it was a day game and hot AF.
Florida - incredible game, Joe wins the shootout late in the game.
MS St - meh game for me. Honestly don’t remember much of it
Auburn - incredible game that made our offense look human. Auburn gave us a scare, and if they have any resemblance of an offense of their own, they might have beat us. This one scared me a whole bunch leading into the next one…
Alabama - in Tuscaloosa. They’ve beat us 8 years in a row and they’re a pretty dang good team. Tua has had an extra week to rest the ankle. First drive, they’re moving the ball right down the field and I’m thinking “Here we go again”, then Tua fumbles untouched around the 5 or 10. Joe leads us easily down the field, scoring on the long throw to Chase. Back and forth a little bit. I don’t think I’ll ever forget the feeling I had before half when LSU get the INT with :30ish seconds left in the half. I’m ecstatic, expecting us to come out and knee it out or kick a FG and was just happy to be going into the half with a lead, and we come out and throw the wheel route to CEH for the touchdown to go up like 20. I just couldn’t believe it. LSU had really come into Tuscaloosa and completely punked them in the first half. Of course, Bama would battle back with a couple long TDs in the second half, but we hold them off at the end.
Ole Miss - no hangover for the offense. Offense comes out and goes crazy. I actually think this was one of the most important games for LSU all season. Ole Miss, having an awful year, came out and embarrassed our defense. They ran QB Powers and Counters with the 160lb backup QB and we couldn’t so shite about it. Aranda and the defense took this one personally, and they got their shite together following this game, and played very well the rest of the season.
Arkansas - it’s always fun to kick Arkansas when they’re down. This was the 2nd game I got to go to, and I took my then girlfriend, now wife (no pics) to her first SEC football game, so it’s got a little something extra for me.
Texas A&M - nothing better than kicking the shite out of Aggie after that 7OT game the year before. The amount of shite Aggie talked all year after that, how they actually believed they would stop Joe. LSU could have named any score and got it that day. Senior Night, Joes last game in Death Valley, Burreaux Jersey…the man became a LA legend that night for sure.
Georgia - Georgia comes in as the #4 team, 11-1, and supposedly the best defense in the country. Joe proceeds to have several Heisman moments and blows Georgia out by 27. Our own defense plays lights out as well, for the 3rd game in a row.
Oklahoma - boy oh boy. Oklahoma thought they were gonna make this a game. Joe throws 6 TDs before halftime, Jefferson catches 4, the defense has Jalen Hurts running for his life and picking off the prayers he throws up. Absolutely dominating performance. Oklahoma scores some garbage times points to make it look “closer”, but this was the type of arse beating you see teams give to FCS rent-a-wins, not to playoff teams. It was incredible to watch.
Clemson - they took down Alabama the year before. They’re undefeated and took down a pretty good Ohio State team in the first round. They come out and dominate LSU in the first quarter, mostly due to field position. They kept LSU backed up against our own endzone for the first several drives, while they put together some drives and took a little lead themselves. In the 2nd quarter, LSU finally gets it going, catches up, takes the lead, and never looks back. Joe accounts for 6 TDs and the defense plays pretty well, all things considered. Offense got off to a slow start and fell behind earlier, had terrible field position…Held Trevor Lawrence, Etienne, Higgins, Ross under 400 total yards and the defense ends the game strong, only allowing 8 points the whole 2nd half.
Such a magical year. LSU takes home nearly every award their is.

My favorite was Oklahoma because I was in ATL. But tGOAT was Bama.

Florida for me. We’re going to need a better defense this year than we did that year. That game should never have been that close. I was exciting though and Tiger Stadium was electric that night.

Bama, no question

Bama win was infinitely more satisfying than any other, including the natty

Once they moved us out of the #1 spot, and our defense got serious, the season got boring. Clemson did enough to keep it interesting through half, but Georgia, A&M, Oklahoma and Arkansas were laughers.
Texas was our most competitive game, along with Bama.

Loved stomping those assholes after that OT shitshow the year before. Plus, Joey B’s last game in TS.
Magical night.

Florida only had a chance for 2.5 quarters. That game wasn’t close. Auburn actually challenged LSU.

When CEH scored on that little wheel/out route right before half at BAMA I had flashbacks to being at Bryant Denny watching Chad Jones deflate an entire stadium. That was the moment I knew no one was beating that team.

Auburn was a scary game too

Texas.
3rd and 17 and I just know from past experiences that we’re about to shut it down on offense and lose the damn game.
The complete upheaval of expectations told me that team was for real.

quote:Florida was the only team that had the ball in the 4Q with a chance to tie or take the lead all season. And it was only 1 possession.
but as far as good football games that came down to the 4th quarter/wire, it’s UT and Auburn.
All season.

I went to every home game that year but attending the Bama game in Tuscaloosa was my best. Watching the melt in the stands was unbelievable.

The Florida game is a pretty good pick. It was where we first saw how good this team could be.

The first half of Bama was one of the best football experiences of my life, frick I wish they wouldn't haven't gotten that strip sack. 40-13 in Bama would have been amazing
