Some 5 stars just bust... We've had some in the past that come in highly touted and never did a thing or didn't live up to the hype. Hope this isn't the case with JS3

See this is where is subscribe to the Charlie Hanigiff quote of "give him one route he can learn and let him go out and run it." If that kid (or any kid for that matter) is that talented, you find a way to get him onto the field.

This is an old Saban quote from when Skyler Green was a freshman. Jimbo complained that they were halfway through the season and Skyler only knew 3 plays. Saban said ok, so put him in for those three plays. This was the result

He (Jacoby) wanted to play wr. Coach O said we would let him try when recruiting him.

My guess is that if his PT doesn't increase he'll probably transfer.
typical idiotic, wimp mindset. Stevens will need a year to understand the system. Everybody sees how well Greedy is doing, but it took him a year to get it too.

Receivers are only as good as the qb. A receiver playing for tom brady/drew brees....will always look better than a qb playing for mike glennon or blake bortles. Until there is an upgrade at the qb position the passing attack will remain ho hum.

It's a litt more complicated than that.

with proper application of game theory (and a counter play or 2, obviously), it's really not

the air raid is successful b/c it runs the same 15 plays out of constantly changing formations

the option is successful b/c it runs the same 20 plays with precision and teamwork

simple works if you apply game theory properly

He was a safety but Delpit was beating him out of reps. Played WR in high school as well as safety. May wee him back on defense very soon.

Might as well. You sure aren't going to cause any changes.

Maybe he hasn't picked up the WR assignments as quickly as I thought? That's the only thing I can think of.

I mean.. it can't be worse than getting hit in the hands and staring down dumbfounded as the ball drops to the ground?
I certainly agree with those saying get the talent on the field and see what they can do, regardless of what they know.

Based on the team's subpar play so far, the two biggest freshmen underachievers are Stevens and Jacob Phillips.

When a 5 star db gets moved THIS early, it should raise some eybrows. They haven't even tried him at db in a game yet. I don't trust this staff's evaluation of players right now anyway.

LSU - Arkasnas 2002.

The perfect indictment of the "prevent" defense. Seriously, how did LSU lose that game?

He can't be any worse of a safety than Ed Paris

What about putting some TEs at wr and just making 6-7 yard completions. Stop trying to only get 50 yard bombs.
