They can also go like 5% over their pool without harsh penalties. So that's like another $300K. Plus the $125 that doesn't count toward the pool and they're close.

Yeah, but the also drafted a top 200 HS pitcher in the 21st round. They're only likely to get one or the other.

The good news is that their first 5 picks are likely to take all of the slot and then some. Two HS kids in the 8th and 9th bode well for LSU too.

Lastly, I think Rasmussen may have a medical RS if he wanted it, so he could have a little bit more negotiating power than the typical Senior.

I envision Beloso to be our Sikes Orvis, but shorter and less annoying looking.

I'll see what I can find on that. It looks like Garza and Mathis would both be draft eligible sophomores next year. The incoming Freshman I don't have a lot of birthdays on.

Cole Henry, Elijah Cabell, Andrew Lee would all be DES. I'm missing like 10 birthdays though.

That’s something to consider with our chances with cabell. Just stay for two years and bounce, make way more money

Be careful what you say about him. I googled his name and the first link that came up was an article about a Cosa Nostra drug boss in Sicily by that exact same name who, from his prison cell, ordered a hit on a competitor on the "outside" for trying to move in on the Godfather's drug trade.

I definitely read about that guy already.

Now I usually add "baseball" to the end of my google searches on recruits.
