I think everyone feels the same way about this game. We have some reasons to be excited as well as some reasons to be nervous as hell.

What makes me optimistic is that BK was Rees protege’ and pretty much taught him everything he knows.

Kirby Smart beat the F out of Oregon last year after his DC took the head job over there. Hopefully BK can be two steps ahead at whatever Rees dials up.

I’m pessimistic about if we can stop their run game. I’m not sure if our DL can play well enough to help us out. Smith & Jones need to have big games. (I believe our O-Line wins against their DL though

Optimism - We have the best offense in the country. We can put up 50 points any given night. They have a bad offense that thrives off of over the top man beaters. We run little to no man, often have safety help over the top, and have the personnel to contain quarterback runs. Alabama also has a below average offfensive line that I beleive we'll be able to take advantage of.

Pesimism - Don't really have much. Slightly concerned that these are by far the best safeties Jayden has seen. I doubt they really trick him, but they do have the speed to catch up to underthrown balls.

Biggest concern is interior defensive line depth. With Wingo out, is Jefferson the same player? Will he be as effective as an every down lineman vs coming in every 2 drives or one play per drive?

Alabama doesn't have much of a running game. They're ranked in the 70s and 80s in both statistical and analytical rushing rankings.
Much more optimistic than I am pessimistic. LSU scores in the mid to high 40s and Alabama doesn't cross the 30 point threshold.

This perfectly summarizes it.

Optimistic: The offense. OL capable of handling the rush. A solid RB1 in Diggs. Enough talent at WR that DBs can't shut them all down. A QB that is capable of beating you with his arm or feet.

Pessimistic: DBs. Lack of talent, depth and experience. Loss of Wingo on DL. Edge defenders struggle to contain or get consistent pressure.

Optimistic:
1. This group has beaten an Alabama team last year. Good
for the overall confidence.
2. The offense is operating at peak performance with
JD's confidence at an all-time high.
Pessimistic:
1. to many cornerbacks hurt.
2. our SEC wins have come against some of the worst
teams in the SEC, with the exception of Mizzu.
3. Alabama team really starting to gel.

This, plus Kelly has to have a little insight on what Rees likes to do offensively right?

Optimistic: our offense is functioning at an extraordinarily high level. We should be able to score.

Pessimistic: our defense is functioning at an extraordinarily low level and we may not be able to stop anyone

Optimistic: LSU has the superior QB. That is often enough to win.

Pessimistic: Bama has superior overall talent and LSU’s defense is abysmal. That usually doesn’t bode well for success.

I’m optimistic because we have the best college football player in the country.

We have the best offense in the country.

We have the better team.

Basically not having a secondary is a concern

Optimistic: Offense, O-line, Jayden and crew

Pessimistic: Defense and the loss of Wingo. Not concerned bout the DB's it is what it is at this point. Being so inexperienced may actually help going into Tuscaloosa. Too young and dumb to be nervous.

Optimistic:
Our offense. We can run and pass very well. We are balanced and if things break down we have a qb who can run.

We are on the road. I think we focuse better on the road at times. Especially big games.

We are underdogs. It just seems like we don’t play as well when we are expected to win.

Pessimistic:
Our defense. We are not nearly as talented as we have been in the past in the secondary. And we are down two more starters. With Brooks out, we are down three.

It was funny listening to some Bama talking heads say our OL is weak.

We are not winning this game with a depleted secondary against Bama. Damn shame we have an unstoppable offense but a terrible defense. Cannot beat Bama with a weak defense. They will go after the freshman early and often.
