I’m not the least bit concerned about his ability to scheme. The thing I’m worried about is his ability to develop players, particularly the quarterbacks.

Fwiw Les was known to have an outdated offense that didnt open it up at all and he managed to pull some of the best current NFL Receivers to the Tigers

Every one of them reached stardom in the big league and wasn't near as well utilized at LSU. We should have won 'ships with them.

I respectfully disagree BUT at least you offer legit reasons instead of spewing the latest garbage.

My biggest concern about Ensminger is that he hasn't been an OC in 20 years. He has specifically stated he didn't want to be OC. And O had to talk him into accepting the job. There's really not a lot to go off of regarding Ensminger.

All of this.

The fact was brought to your attention in response to your apparent assertion that good players came to LSU due to confidence in Ensminger's acumen as an offensive coordinator.

OCs under Les Miles got a lot of talented players even when it was well known what type of offense he ran. So good players being here isn't necessarily a comment on Ensminger's abilities.

I'm still trying to comprehend how any quality WR would have wanted to shite away their career and come to play for LSU/Miles.

The single MOST under utilized position (along with the TEs) for many years....sans Landry and OBJ.

I think the talent and other coaches on the staff make his job easier and more fun for a a least a couple of years

The 2008 auburn offense that could only put up 14 points against the Malleveto defense.

I’m going to go ahead and stop engaging now, before he says something else utterly incompetent.

Not sure what your point is with all this gibberish but I'll try to answer the best I can.
First of all, i said nothing about "O" and was referring to SE and him trashing weak defenses like we should.
In reply to your second sentence/question, records were set throughout the history of the program but SE broke a bunch while interim OC, albeit against weak defenses.
Next answer to your 3rd question, no, we've played inferior teams almost every year. SE was just able to break records against those inferior teams. In the past we've played inferior teams and didn't set records and if you're that much better than someone then it should happen. My philosophy is, if you're being paid the money these coaches are being paid, then the cupcakes are getting shredded as fast as I can to let my backups get valuable game time experience running the offense/gameplan and if you can't stop me then too damn bad this isn't peewee football. You have to try to develop your players and build depth/experience with "game experience, not practice time" in case of injuries and attrition.

You don't know and can't know this and yes you're shitting all over the man that's going to be calling plays for the school this year. He's been coaching since the 80s do you honestly think he doesn't know how to coach? Most of you need to change your tampons and apply vagisil.

At this time no concerns at all, looking forward to an offense where TE's & RBs are more than blockers in the passing game. Looking forward to an offense that can get the plays in without using 3 time outs in the 1st quarter. Now if I have concerns by the 3rd week into the season then I'll be really CONCERNED

Where did I say he doesn't know how to coach. Obviously he has a job, he must know how to. I said he's not the very best LSU could get. You think that's shitting on him to say that?

There's only one OC that could be the very best LSU could get, so I'd say the same thing about most OCs out there.

You the the very best LSU could do is someone that hadn't done the job full time in 20 years and wasn't that good when he was doing it? You don't really think much of our program if you do think that.

I have no doubt that Ensminger has a comprehensive understanding of his offense and that it’s pretty impressive on paper. He’s a smart guy, he loves LSU and he understands better than anybody how the fans feel . My concern is getting it from theory to practice. Can he coach it? How long does it take to get it implemented? Do the players buy in ? That sort of stuff.
