So what is the multifaceted Rant scouting report on Clemson going into Fall Camp? Strengths/weaknesses vs LSU?

This should be a beatdown similar to LSU vs Virginia Tech 2007

ESPN Box Score 48-7

The only thing I know is that the lost multiple drat picks in defense and OL and have a QB making his first start ever. Seems like a recipe for disaster.

With the TP these days teams are not as stacked to rebuild after that but they could also reload from TP. Just not sure if Dabo is fully committed to that…

They are a big unknown. Clemson has dipped into the portal for a few players but Dabo has for the most part refused to go hard after the portal and relies on developing HS talent. They lost 11 or 12 starters to the draft and at key positions. They still have a bunch of talented players returning but honestly how good or bad they are is up for grabs. No one knows. They could be really bad or they could be surprisingly good. All I know is that I don't see how Chad Morris is going to fix that offense considering what he has done since he left Clemson the first time.

Offense: New play caller Chad Morris- Spread hurry up m. Passing Attack will be compliment the run game.
-QB- New starting Qb making first start Christopher Vizzina. (Solid build, solid arm strength and mobility,) lack of experience. First road start on the road in Tiger Stadium
RB- Adam Randall is gone, expected to rely on Gideon Davidson and Chris Johnson from SMU
WR- TJ Moore and Bryant Wesco return as one of the best Receiving duos in the country.
TE- Olsen Patt Henry is back to lead the Tight end room
OL- have to replace 4 Starters on the offensive line
Defense
- Replace Tj Parker, Peter Woods, Demonte Capeheart. Will Heldt is coming back, projected to be a high pick. Amare Adams and Vic Burley were highly rated recruits that Clemson is high on.
LB- core might be the best on the team besides WR. Sammy Brown is projected to go Day 1 or Day 2 while Jeremiah Alexander brings experience.
CB- Aveion Terrell is gone but bring back Ashton Hampton is who is projected to be picked high. Lost top safety Khalil Barnes to Portal, but replaced them well with Elliott Washington and Corey Myrick.

Conclusion: a lot of new starters, (new offensive system) mixed with some good talent making their first start in the first game of the Lane Kiffin era, so make your own conclusions from that.

And one of the main guys he got out of the portal, Ole Miss tampered with and got to leave clemson. No matter what Dabo will have them ready but they should be down from last season

Dabo is like former LSU coaches Dinardo,Ed O, when he lost his best OCs,and DCs his program has gone down.He has not been able to replce them with like kind.LSU has a big coaching advantage in this game.

That's the problem.

Dabo is this generation's Les Miles. The game has changed and he has refused to adapt, choosing instead to rest upon his approach that produced great success 5-10 years ago. Dabo has been more reluctant than anyone to utilize the portal. As a result, he's returning less and less production and not immediately filling the holes with experienced, talented players.

Also like Les, the goodwill he earned with the peak success has a shelf life that is close to the expiration date. The buyout would be big for Clemson, but if he has another .500 (or just barely over .500) season this year he will be sent packing.

They're not. This game might be closer than people think because LSU is breaking an entirely new team in but they should win this one even a desperate Clemson team. I think it's going to be a beatdown coming out party for Lane's offense. The energy is going to be very high for this game for a new era. Good luck to Clemson because they're going to need it.

Some calling it Dabo's "Back to the Future" season as he's bringing back Chad Morris to run "the Clemson Offense". Chad Morris who hasn't been an offensive coordinator since 2020.

Many of their fans are goofball cultists who refuse to believe Dabo is anything but God's gift to football.

They have a serious chip on their shoulder about the SEC, let's keep it that way.

I would appreciate a beatdown as I grew up in the Lowcountry, have friends there, visit often. Would love to shut them up for another 5 years while I walk around down there with my P&G on.

Agree minus out defensive side of the ball. System is there, core players there in concert with some bright stars added.

Stupid cliche to use, but if what you’re saying is true, Chad Morris is an excellent OC

Offense:
QB- talented but very inexperienced
RB- also talented but hardly any experience (Chris Johnson’s son is there and runs a 4.28)
WR-Wesco and TJ Moore are very good although Pickett and Woodland locked them down last year.
OL- Lost a lot on that front, likely will be the weak point on the offense going in besides a new QB (Princewill and Gerald’s finna eat).
TE- decent blockers, not much of receiving threats

Defense:
DL: Will Heldt is a stud, outside of him they pretty much have to replace everyone else, apparently their interior defensive line could be really bad.

LB: strength of the defense, led by Sammy Brown who is a top 5 LB nationally imo.

CB- Have a good one in Ashton Hampton but like us are very thin but don’t have a CB2 like a PJ Woodland

S- Lost both of their guys and look fairly week here

Nickel- their nickel is an above average player

Coaching:
DC: Tom Allen is normally pretty good, although last year the Clemson defense had trouble at times.

OC: head scratching hire with Chad Morris, imo this will be a distaster hire for them, (has been out of the game for 5 years as well).
