LSU vs Zona in 2000. LSU actually had a lot
of great home games that year, but Jabari Smith fake behind the back to Stro then a big dunk was probably the loudest I've ever heard the PMAC.

another crazy loud crowd was when Shaq and Chris beat (once again Arizona) when they were #2 - the PMAC was awesome for that one
Chris Jackson wasn't on that team. Shaq was a great his freshman year, but that Arizona game in December of 1990 of Shaq's sophomore year introduced Shaquille O'Neal to the world. Dickie V and ABC were there for the Saturday nationally televised game. Arizona had two big men that went on to play in the pros themselves. Shaq totally dominated the last 10 minutes of that game and had his signature dunk, swinging from the rim, Shaq-de-Shaq (cabbage patch) after the dunk/foul.

For me, Arizona in 2000. Arizona came in at #5 I believe and Stromile and Jabari just dogged the hell out of them. I think we beat them by around 25 points.

Don't laugh, but I have been going to basketball games since 2000..... that Both times Arizona came to town was awesome, The one with Jabari was awesome, but they only had about 9,500 people there, but this is where you might laugh. The women's game against Tennesee where it was standing room only, idk which year but there was 14,000 there and that place was absolutely rocking. It was probably the loudest one I have been to.

I honestly say a frickin loud, sold-out PMAC with legit ramifications on the line trumps tiger stadium in terms of overall fan "goosebumpy" euphoria.
Whatever that means
Whatever that means

I don't know about that. Sure, basketball gets a pep band, but a rocking Tiger Stadium with the band leading the way is part of what makes LSU football so great. Chinese bandits just can't be beat.

1986 Memphis State (NCAA First Round) Ball bouncing on rim as horn sounding, falls in-- Pandemonium!!!

That was a good one.

Your memory is incorrect. LSU beat Purdue in 2OT in the first round. And the ball was rolling on the floor as the clock ticked down. Don Reddon missed a jump shot, Memphis State big man couldn't grab the rebound and it rolled out to Anthony Wilson who hit the 10 foot bank shot as time expired. That win sent LSU to the Sweet 16, ironically in Atlanta against Georgia Tech. But the home crowd for Tech couldn't do what the home crowd did for LSU in the first two rounds.

You cannot overlook 1989 UNLV, the last second 3 pointer by Blanton to win it. I was student in the student section for that one and its gotta rank right up there. An awesome game.
How come people always forget that UNLV came back to the Assembly Center the next year - and it was another freaking awesome game!

I agree with this.

December 1983 when Guy Lewis brought Phi Slamma Jamma to Baton Rouge. LSU lost that night, but Leonard Mitchell, giving up almost 6 inches, fouled Olajuwon out w/ 6 minutes left to go in the game.

UK 1977 came in ranked #1. All the Tiger starters fouled out, but we pulled out the win somehow. Joe B Hall...

NON-PMAC Game, but Georgetown in the Dome 1988. Blanton's lay in. I'll never forget it.

Kentucky games in the early 1980's. They'd have Mike the Tiger comedown out of the overhead scoreboard at midcourt before tipoff.
