I had a draft last night so I smoked some mesquite chicken and some bacon cheddar brats. Tonight will just be leftover night since I made so much!

A little sugar and frying it as a pupusa-- called a "corn pone" in some parts of the South.

Think of it as a hushpuppy, but without minced onions

Lunch will be pan fried chicken tenders in a white wine cream sauce. And for the game, I'll nibble on some cold fried shrimp and catfish that'll be dipped in cocktail sauce.

Yes sir, that sounds delicious. Not sure if still there, but there was a hole in the wall Salvadoran restaurant off of Nicholson by LSU several years ago that I went to. They had a version of that they sold with soupa de res (beef and veggie soup) and it was fire.

Yes sir!! Love La Salvadorena
Most of the time in BR, if the place looks run down and old…most likely they have good food

Jambalaya. Roasting a chicken for it now. Will pressure cook the carcass to make a stock. Kartchners andouille, Baker Farms popcorn rice.

Lunch is leftover fried duck.

I love Caldo de Res, the meat & veggie soup you described.

Never visited that "hole in the wall" Salvadoran restaurant. Was it on Nicholson near McClung Street, going toward downtown?

Not good with street names, but it was within a short walk of the Nat field. So what is that, Northgates at Nicholson I believe? It was before you get to those sketchy president streets.
