Chances are it’ll be like 2016 we look good because we just out talent lesser teams and we lay eggs vs good defenses

Do you folks understand there are 5 other SEC teams with just as much or more talent than LSU every year. Next year we play all 5 and most years we play 4 of them. I don’t understand our fans thinking when they say we out talent most teams because its not a wide margin with the other teams we do have more talent than!

For me personally, it's the way that the "search," or lack thereof, was handled.

How the search, or lack there of, was handled doesn't matter. It tells me O had the guy he wanted. He knows what he wants and found a guy he trusts to implement it. We, as fans, obviously preferred some fresh new offense. Oh well, that's not what O wanted. It is what it is.

And at the end of the day, O will live or die with this decision...but he felt he has the guy he's comfortable in riding with for better or worse. For the sake of LSU, let's hope it works.

FWIW, I think Ensminger will do just fine.

Will people be mad?

Only the simple minded.

Kinda like the folks who would even ask the question. Simple folks.

ESPN, Rivals, Scout, & every other national recruiting service disagrees. The NFL does too. Try to keep it factual.

Then tell me out of Bama, Georgia, Auburn, Florida(state of FL to recruit) and Texas A&M(state of TX to recruit) which one of these doesn’t have equal or more talent than LSU every year? Some of these teams recruit better than others at certain positions but overall team recruiting and considering some of these schools home states being the top 2 states producing football players there is no way we have more talent than these schools. Also the gap in LSU over MS St, Ole Miss, Arky and Tenn is not that wide!

No. I know there are those that swear up and down that there are people cheering against LSU on this board, but I don’t buy it. If LSU impresses. We’ll all be happy, no matter what we think of certain coaches.

Only the gumps have more. Georgia is the closest to the talent level of LSU after that. The others are certainly less talented. Stop pushing a false narrative.

I don’t like the Ensminger hire. But he is capable. I would be surprised but happy. I don’t like O but will pull to win every game

no, I won't be mad. I'll be happy.

I want LSU to win. The problem I have is that I don't think the right people are in charge of the program to give us the best chance to maximize our enormous capabilities and compete for championships, both in the short-term and long-term.

The sole issue, with both the O hiring and now the Ensminger hiring, is that we didn't conduct a thorough search to find the very best coach that we could get. True, some of the top guys at powerhouse schools were probably not gettable, but the rest were absolutely gettable for us. But we simply promoted position coaches from within. It's just horribly lazy.

Is this so hard to understand?

No, it's not hard to understand at all. It's just hard for some people to accept.

You definitely have LSU goggles on and not in touch with reality. Georgia has 5 star QBs, RBs, OL, DL & LBs. LSU has 5 star DBs, S and DL. Both have had 5 star WRs in the past. LSU recruits more talent on the defensive side than Georgia but Georgia out recruits LSU on the offensive side by a long shot.

when will people realize this really has nothing to do with Steve? It's Joe and Ed lying and wasting fricking money for worse results.

Weve essentially ended up with Les Miles' staff.

So we dont want to hear rebuild, we dont want to hear next year. Because this was set up to get one guy out the way. he's gone. Put up results or they can all leave.

Can I buy a vowel to go with my other letter? I want to buy an "O". To go after the N.
NO, NO way...... All the abbreviations are killing me, but I understood this one.

The only team with decidedly more talent year-in, year-out is Bama. UGA maybe, but certainly comparable. At present, A&M, UF, and Auburn don't.

Then I will be extremely happy and also disappointed I did not renew my season tickets.
