...came to LSU?
Assuming we wouldn't have lost the other QB's who would have started? Would we be in a NY6 Bowl?
What attracted Joe?

No. We would have gone 7-5 or worse

The future of human life would be in peril.

Orgeron and Ensminger are incredibly good recruiters. Orgeron is a used car salesman and I mean that as a compliment. He can sell anyone on anything. IMO, playing against the best competition probably had something to do with it as well. The son of a coach is usually a competitor and I think we saw that out of him this season.

Eta: terribly misspelled word

Joe didn't make a lot of mistakes, but he didn't win any games either. Not much of an improvement from last year, especially statistically but I have a felling he will do good things next year.

We don't win the Auburn game with out The Burrow. Those throws he made over the middle during the game and the throws he made on the last drive were incredible.

McMillan would’ve started and the offense would be even worse.

Correct. He wasn't perfect, but he was a hell of a lot better than what we would have had out there.

Thanks for the comments guys
I also think his best is yet to come. Coach E is underappreciated and perhaps the catalyst to landing Joe. Joe's first start was a mere 2 months after setting foot on campus. He was relatively green at that point and the curve continues to his favor. Future looks good.

The University of Louisiana wouldn't have gotten McMillan.

He was better than Etling last year, and much better than Brennan or the other prospective starters. I can't see how LSU would have finished better than 7-5 without Burrow.

Cincinnati was the other option

To your point stats don't tell the story. Joe's headiness was far superior to last year and it's his intangibles that made him a lot better than last year.
I can't wait to see this guy gel with JaMarr Chase next year

There's definitely some truth to this, but I don't think it should take away from the recruiting job done by O and E to get him away from his home.

Auburn and UGA would've been losses. Maybe Arkansas too.
