Ed O isn’t The same dude he was at Ole Miss.

What makes you say this as if it has been proven already?

Last year was his 1st year and just like 1st year coaches, he struggled early to find an identity. He also had an OC who wanted to find Waldo but couldn’t identify his own Waldo. Our OL was our Waldo. He had no depth and was suspect in passing downs. This was a result of coaching change and attrition combined with coaching.

This is a BS excuse for a number of reasons

1. It’s not his first year being a HC. He was a HC for three full seasons at Ole Miss. so it isn’t like he is learning the job for the first time.

2. While it was his team during the interim gig, he had 8 games and a full offeseason headstart getting to programculture where he wanted it.

3. He got a much better team than 90% of HCs get. He wasn’t replacing some guy after 3 straight losing seasons.

4. There are a lot of HCs out there who improve their team just by being a better coach than their predasessor.

I will start a thread calling myself a dumbass and in all bold font saying how wrong I was and how horrible of person I am if Ed Orgeron starts winning 10+ consistently

How many years equals consistently— 5? 7? 10? He could be wildly successful next year and you would still not have to do a thing, right? Real bold move there, Cotton.

How about if he wins 10 regular season games this year, I will change my sig to anything the so called positigers want?

It can be "Coach O is a God and I'm a dumbass!" or something like that.

If he wins 10 games and then 9 and 9 why should anyone admit anything?

Brady Hoke won 10 games at Michigan.

Where did anyone suggest that number or record?

I have no desire for you to post any sig line. I respect your “bet” because it’s clear and definitive. I can’t respect a bet that puts the consequence off for years.

I hear ya. I actually think he has a shot to win 10 regular season games. If the coaching changes work out and can get the offense rolling, this team will be able to compete with anyone.

Florida on the road is never easy. My god y'all come up with excuse after excuse to discredit this man. I can't wait until this season starts so y'all all STFU. The FL defense was one of the best in the country. We beat Auburn by coming back down by 20. If I'm not mistaken it was the biggest comeback agasint an sec team in our history. For sure between the two schools. Ole Miss isn't easy, Arkansas isn't easy, A&M isn't an easy game.

Ask any team in the country if these teams are easy. Man y'all are so football ignorant it's insane. If LSU has a kicker, we are 11-2 last year. It was very close. The only games we truly lost was Bama and MS. MS will not have that same success in 2018. I just can't wait for the season.

So I read that and now I have to wonder. Should Duke Riley have been given the HC job ahead of Ed????

You asked how many 10 wins seasons he needed my point was definitely more than 1

It was a hypothetical.

He replaced a guy who has 7 10+ win seasons in 11 years. Would have been 8 but we canceled a game

All of this nonsense is on a similar level to the SEC Network's graphic about Orgeron putting a worm in his mouth. Both are scraping the bottom of the barrel for positive things to say about his coaching accomplishments.

You're actually trying to spin that we didn't "truly" lose half the games we did.

More than 1 at least. Kinda has to sustain success if he isn’t going to really win anything.

They said this same shite after the state loss in 14. LSU lost to bama and Auburn, but beat a top 10 ole Miss and had that bama team beat if it weren't for a lil help from the refs.

Fact is, Les recruited very well, no matter what these bozos try to tell you. And he was fired.

It doesn't matter how well he recruited if Saban beat him in recruiting. When I say at a high level I mean beating your opponents in SEC West in recruiting regularly. Also Miles recruited RBs and WRs, did not recruit OL/DL lines and QB very well.

Why did Ed Orgeron go into the season without a kicker? He didn't walk into the program just last August.
