No one is arguing that last year was a good year for O

It wasn’t a good year for LSU

The 2 levels of expectations are the issue

It feels all O does is delegate.

At some point he has to do more himself.

Like why thefrick do we need Duke Tiley to get the teams head out of their asses?

getting our dicks kicked in by MSU wasn’t enough?

If O brings back and sustains Championship-level LSU football, it would be the biggest coaching redemption story in college football history.

Who wouldn’t love that?

You.....I've read your post this summer. You are positive that can't happen.

Thinking it won’t happen =/= wanting it to not happen.

I don’t think I’ll win the lottery. I want to win the lottery. See how easy that logic is?

So simple-minded of you.

Forget the hot seat: After saving LSU in 2017, what if Ed Orgeron is entering his prime?

“Saving” LSU???

Article not off to a good start.

quote:

"He spent the day," coach Ed Orgeron recalled. "He saw the LSU tradition the players weren't carrying on. He went to supper with them on Wednesday night, showed up at the first workout at 6 in the morning on Thursday, followed them, watched them in the meetings, watched the way dressed, watched the way they practiced.
"Then he said, 'Coach, let me have them.' He called them out."

Uh, Coach, who’s fault was it that they weren’t meeting, dressing, practicing in the “LSU tradition”???

quote:

Anyone consider that a lesser coach could have lost the locker room after the Troy defeat?

A lesser coach

Anyone consider a better coach wouldn’t have had the September that O did??

This is what any optimism boils down to, and it’s a lie.

We ran through a historically bad SEC after Troy, beating five teams that fired their coaches, beat a good Auburn team at home after going down 20-0 in the first quarter (take from that what you will), and list to Alabama never being closer than 2 TDs after the first quarter.

O is 1-4 or 2-5 against the quality teams since taking over whether you include bowl games or not.

SEVEN of his ten SEC wins are over teams .500 or worse in conference and SIX didn’t even make Bowl games.

For years we heard that LSU won because of talent and in spite of coaching.

How any rational observer could think we have seen anything different under O is beyond me.

That article is a joke. It offers no reasons for WHY O may be in his prime now, only asks WHAT IF??

fricking joke.

bullshite

I Read the article

It’s a puff piece

“Oh hey LSU finished 6-2 wooo”

Ie helps when 5 of those teams fire their HC because they’re so bad.

What if: LSU is a better program than 2005 era Ole Miss.

What if O can just do he average wherever he is at?

Then we're going to have a good few seasons coming up. Why is this so hard to understand?

Or we played a bunch of cupcakes

5 of those teams were straight up garbage.

Someone tried to pump up a shitty Florida team as “desperate.” Desperate doesn’t mean good. They suckedz

He literally has 1 impressive win since he got here

O lives off of lowered expectations.

I would avoid that narrative, because the logical response is, "but what created the Troy debacle?"

Because the media reads the rant and that's the pulse of LSU football in their opinion....

Currently, this place doesn't believe he is. They have people actually wanting to go 6-6.

We finished 3-2!
The same as we started.

We started weak ended weak we just had some easy games in the middle.

And yes, I’ll admit Auburn was a good win at home.
