He still made some mistakes against Tennessee, but it was an improvement from the Auburn game. (More completions, more yardage, but lack of scoring/conversions on 3rd & 4th)

I’d like to see him take another step forward against Florida. Making better decisions, converting on 3rd downs, & scoring in the red zone.

He’s only played 3 games against SEC competition. If he can keep making improvements over the next 2 games heading into a bye week, There’s a chance we could see his best game against Bama. They haven’t looked unbeatable against Texas or 8&4.

One of the few fans that still has a little optimism for the offense.

Any player that is scared to throw a pass is not a QB. In 6 games he has regressed. I do not see a change in the next 6. The roller coaster ride continues.

Since when has he continued to improve? Gonna be honest I haven’t seen any improvement from him after six games.

He didn't really improve. They just called more pass plays out of desperation. Less yards per attempt and per completion than Anthony Jennings. Cannot throw the ball down field and that has to happen for the offense to be successful. You can disagree or down vote, but this fact will remain. He is terrible at the position and this mythical improvement will not happen.

How has he improved from spring game to now?

I would very much like an answer with some proof, if possible.

If anything, i’d say he has regressed ha.. His main bright spot is the ability to run, which he has shown since game 1.. Against Tennessee, yea he passed for some yards, but that’s bc the defense was ok with letting him pass at times. He handed balls off that he should have kept and run himself, and he didn’t run when he had clear lanes at times either.. He may have been trying too hard with the passing game, but it took away from his strength, which are his legs

Improved?
Like from 1st grade to this point?
There isn't enough time in the century to chart his possible improvement.

Daniels was 14th in the NCAA in YPA and 9th in YPC in his Freshman year at ASU.

So yeah, he sucked, why even consider him

For reference that was 2019 and LSU's QB was 2nd in YPA and 14th in YPC.

Silly you! This is the Tiger Rant where anything less than perfection means people need to be fired immediately!

There’s no room for positivity here!

Stop looking at stats. It’s alll about how he runs the offense.

He looks like an 18 year old true freshman out there. He is what he is, and this is what we have. He's a mobile guy that can't make a pass to a spot or read the defense.

You’re right.. BK must not have understood what he’s talking about when he said the following:

quote:

On Jayden Daniels being more aggressive and throwing into tighter windows against Tennessee, Brian Kelly said, "There was definitely a step in the right direction." He wants to continue to see improvement this week.

I thought Tennessee would be the game he'd have to shine for people to accept him. Obviously we didn't see anything to praise, so I don't feel the tide will turn. We're 50% finished, we just want someone who is going to move the ball down the field.
