They have been to CWS and if memory serves they were a game away from playing the Tigers to get to CWS final

They had to win 2 more games to make the finals

This post and comments show how spoiled our fan base is when it comes to baseball. Don’t get your panties in a twist because they get hyped beating us.

Yeah, congrats to ULL they were the better team tonight. I liked their last pitcher. He looked like the best pitcher for either team tonight. LSU defense made far too many errors and wild pitches etc to be considered a top 10 team. Really didn’t enjoy watching the game. Hope we improve.

Louisiana Lightning says hi; produced the best MLB pitcher in Louisiana history in Ron Guidry.

3rd place finish at the CWS; one of the three schools in the state that have held a consensus #1 ranking in season.

Tony Robichaux is the all-time winningest college baseball coach in Louisiana state history, accumulating 1,177 wins (914 at UL)

One of the best non p4 stadiums in college baseball.

…….and we just won our world series, the parade is gonna be off the charts this year!

Fun fact about this 2 acre swamp called "Cypress Lake" on their campus is that it was said to be created by roaming herds of bison as a wallow hole during prehistoric times.

I think the school started flooding it during the WWII era to hold water and serve as an emergency fire water reservoir.

They lost both games of a doubleheader in an NCAA tourney regional to LSU back in 2002. Back when I and many others were singing the praises of Smoke, Smoke, Smoke Laval

In a fiction movie called The Waterboy, they had a fictitious school/university based on them named SCLSU.

Why this post? What’s this GD obsession with ULL? Get over it man. There is a University of Louisiana in Lafayette and it is, what it is. Move along.

For them to act so douchy all the time.

This is sad.

We beat the defending national champion in our stadium in front of a packed house with a young team. Just like you love to "hand us that extra L" when you beat us, we can celebrate beating you. The sun came up today. You'll be alright.

I was at that game. I was friends with a player on that team. He still has the newspaper clipping framed.

They changed their name to USL from Southwest Louisiana Institute.....which is considered douchy.
