I guess all you can do is laugh when nothing else works huh?

Boy you guys argument of O sucks is getting more and more weak by the day. The same ones with the same weak arse arguments. When facts are put in your face, you can't except it and go back to the excuse comment. It's not an excuse, it's what actually happened.

Just because your silly little brain can't except this fact, doesn't mean most mature heads can't see it for what it truly is. Yes we were dominated BUT it's also a fact that we were depleted along the LOS and at LB last year. We also had a ton of penalties called on our OL at key moments in a drive and the combination evntually made them give.

I'll bet money that it's a completely different team this year but I guess we'll just say that O made a complete 180 in the coaching department when we beat them huh? Nah you'll probably say that it's MS new coach and give no credit to our team. That's just who you are.

I’m really glad this is the case, because it means we going to the ‘ship this year!!

After LSU tied the game at 7, LSU’s possessions consisted of...
3 & out
1 1st down
3 & out
3 & out
Offense couldn’t sustain a drive to give the guys that were already thin a break.

People keep assuming we will have a top 10 defense this season, but in order to come any where near that.. we will have to sustain drives offensively.

Our roster was completely depleted because Les Miles set the program back at least 50 years. There was nothing O or Aranda could do to overcome Les’ complete mismanagement of the roster, and no one can make me believe that 247 sports’ opinion that we had the 6th most talented team in the country was valid in any way, shape or form. They are a bunch of
Incompetent hacks.

State’s first two drives ended with punts, they first scored in the second quarter.

Miss State's offense did it's damage scoring points in really just 2 quarters. Meaning, the LSU defense gave up 30 points in the 2nd & 3rd quarters while giving up just 7 points in the 1st & 4th Quarters. For comparison, Miss State's defense gave up 7 points the entire game. State's defense wasn't that good but LSU's offense was that bad.

In the 2nd & 3rd quarters LSU's offensive TOP averaged 5 min while Miss State's offense averaged 10 min. We know the defense had trouble getting off the field in these quarters but let's not pretend that the offenses inability to stay on the field didn't impact the entire game.

MSU rushed for almost 300 yds with 2 rushing TD's and passed for almost 200 yds with 2 passing TD's. A somewhat balanced attack from State's offense gave LSU's entire defense problems all night.

Yes.... LSU's DL was extremely limited and lacked a 2 deep rotation due to several starters out.
Yes.... This had some affect on the entire defense and Miss St had success offensively.
.... Claiming it's responsible for the historic 30 point blowout loss is fricking asinine.

This game was poorly coached, poorly played and it was already lost in the off season as LSU was pushed around to start the season.

Listen MSU was a good team. If their QB doesn’t go down in the Egg Bowl they may have been a 10 win teams

I am Not saying the entire loss is on the DLine but when a team is racking up 280 yards rushing and you only have 3 DL and they are Gilmore, Lacouture and Logan I think You can attribute a fair amount of the distinction to that.

Sure, I agree they were a good football team last year but the lopsided loss is due more to LSU's own deficiencies and not Miss State's sudden emergence. This is still a team that has only beat LSU 2 times in the last 18 years & just 5 times since 1985.

Again, I agree and acknowledge the limited bodies on the DL affected the entire defense and contributed greatly to State's rushing success.

It appears we both agree that LSU's thin DL contributed to the blowout loss but we disagree with how much it contributed.

LSU
Third-Down Conversions 3 of 13
Fourth-Down Conversions 0 of 2

I tire of the D and Dave Edscuses.
The team played flat in it's first SEC game despite the "Great Motivator".

Or for Syracuse, but they're a bad team so Tigers were able to win

Give you an idea how poor the Tigers played, this same Miss St team went out and were destroyed 3-31 @ Georgia and 10-49 @ Auburn.

I really believed that after LSU went down to Troy the team surely wpuld finish 3-9. Fortunately for the Tigers most the later opponents were terrible and ended up firing their coaches.

why were our d lineman getting blown off the ball in the first quarter

Because they were far from the best DL players on the team at that point and would not have been on the field were it not for a series of unfortunate occurrences.

You are giving away your lack of knowledge of last years team. The fact is that LSU didn't have their better players available which led to poor DL play. Sometimes you lose when that happens.

He had a fricking panic attack after witnessing another shitty offense, that could never win a game. That is a lonely feeling, as a defensive coordinator. Defensive players get mentally drained when they can see that a win is impossible, because offense is incapable of putting up points.

Nothing happened. Game was relatively tight for 3 quarters, offense didn’t do their part to stay in the game and D was tired and demoralized. Don’t know what more you wanted from them.

Some of you act like the defense shouldn’t ever give up points. That other team is on scholarship too.

No Sammy, justice and loonytic keep preaching that missing lineman had nothing to do with it.

Also, we didn't come out flat...came out fired up on the road...had a horrible call that cost us a TD on first drive, and that crashed our momentum.

MSU was the worst loss by far last year. Players gave up by halftime. MSU did a perfect job of putting together a gameplan to exploid LSU's weakness in that game.
