Right, had nothing to do with getting players back. Wasn't Auburn after that?

Yeah, justice, lunatic, and several others are part of a little group on here that bash 24/7. They actually play good cop/bad cop...with loony being good cop...except he can't hide his agenda for long.

Luckily, they don't represent the overall fanbase.

I wish they did. Unfortunately, the retards like you are far more representative of our fan base. Hence our head coach.

Mo jeaux is another prime example. He literally can't stand when someone talks positive about the program, and heaven help if someone says something good about O. Just look at this loser's post here...

Absolutely...but these guys have been doing this for many many months nonstop. Really doesn't make sense how obsessed they are. Maybe they are admin and bored...who knows.

Btw justice has stated aranda did a horrible job at state and Troy. He would rather bash aranda (and ultimately O) than admit the lack of DL early last year made a significant impact on early season success. Then, one of his little clan members, usually loonytic, will chime in and support him. They've got it down after months of practice.

The people saying we got outcoached are wrong. The people commenting on the DL issues are right. Simple as that.

Our DL last year with Alexander and Lawrence out was terrible. LaCouture and Gilmore were not good. Neither drafted or even invited to the combine. Ms. State whipped our DL into submission. Running at will and controlling the clock resulted in a blowout.

I guess we didn’t get outcoached against Troy either?

LOL

Neal Brown took a team full of 2-3 stars and beat LSU at homecoming, putting on a clinic of how to outcoach the other guy and win with far inferior players.

“ injury and suspension lift very few D lineman”

While that might well be true to some extent, what explains the offense holding the ball for 24 minutes and scoring seven points against what turned out to be a four loss Mississippi State team?

Also, I don’t think we can explain away a 30 point loss solely on being short a few players. While it might have had an effect and some responsibility for the loss overall, a lot of the responsibility has to fall on the shoulders of the coaching staff not having the team ready to play. It seems pretty obvious that coaching blunders which played a big role in Troy loss had begun to impact team play long before Troy came to Baton Rouge on Homecoming nite.

I’m trying to think, was this the first time in the last 15 years that LSU played a game being shorthanded in some aspect? I ask because I don’t recall Nick or Les getting to use the shorthanded excuse in their times here for losses. Seems to be a rather new phenomenon .

Lack of depth in the DL. Guys having to play the whole game. Guys gassed resulting in lack of pressure on the opposing QB. Once Miss St. gained control of the LOS Fitzgerald just sat back there in the pocket and picked off his receivers. It was ugly. That problem with the DL would come back to haunt LSU again in that whatever bowl game with Notre Dame. Given their lack of depth at DL LSU guys did a commendable job, but they just ran out of gas.

Should see a big improvement in LSU DL play this year. We've got some beast (and excellent depth) in that DL. Can't wait.

I see this posted so much. O has fixed the trenches!!!

Someone please explain how losing LaCouture, Gilmore, Herron, and Clark equals massive improvement due to adding Fehoko, a perhaps in shape Shelvin, and four true freshmen?

Our main boost on the DL will be another (hopefully healthy) year from Rashard, Ed, and Logan.

The trench deficiency narrative last year was overblown and the “big improvement” this year is likely overblown as well.

The line was just fine, good enough to go toe to toe with Alabama. We’ll be just fine if this year’s line is as good as last.

The line was not "just fine" against State. We had Lawrence, Alexander, and Herron vs Alabama that we didn't have against Ms. State.

This is what I saw as well. We were in to it and lost all momentum. Then, ran in to a freight train.

Awful D Line with no depth. Lost line of scrimmage on both sides of ball. They were more physical than us. Same thing eventually happened vs Troy. Losing games that way is the worst way to lose games. It’s a slow and painful death. We used to do that to people. Last year showed us what it feels like to be on the receiving end.

Alexander did play against MSU. He was hurt in the game.

As I posted earlier, the LSU defense played 11 snaps before MSU went on their three straight scoring drives. They also scored on their first two possessions out of halftime.

Fatigue was not nearly the issue it has been made out to be. Hell, the fourth quarter was probably our best quarter all night on D.

MSU got to 37 with 13 minutes left in the game and coasted the rest of the game.

The issue was the defense not getting stops on 3rd down in the second quarter, before the ejections, when and the offense not converting thirds as well.

They fed into each other for sure but it was a complete fail in coaching and execution on both sides of the ball, and it was apparent on the third drive of the game.

Again, why didn’t O bring Thomas on the trip if our DL situation was so precarious??

That’s a pretty big blunder wouldn’t you say?

What happened to Alabama losing to what turned out to be a 4 loss Auburn team? Shite happens

Also, lsu did score another td and got robbed of it. I don't think lsu wins the game regardless because of their depth issues, but that was a momentum killer. Additionally. Hard to get more minutes offensively when your own d can't keep the opposing offense off the field.

What I don't understand is you guys not even having a glimmer of understanding that the team that played state and Troy was much improved once players returned/got healthy. That's not debatable. The problem is you guys will go to all extents to bash O.

Just be objective and reasonable. Most won't have a problem if you do that, even if you are negative.

Perhaps the players actually on the field weren't good enough? Ever thought of that. Now you are blaming O for Thomas. You have no idea what was going on, but see an opportunity. Come on man.
