Aranda’s game plan has been superb against just about every opponent and has kept us in games when the offense wasn’t clicking. The outlier is MS St last year. Busted plays and people just running untouched to the end zone.

What in the world happened that night??

The whole team came out flat and played with no emotion. Fitzgerald and company drug their nuts on LSU. Must get payback this year

Injury and suspension left only a few D- linemen, so they went nickel all game and we couldn’t stop the run.?

It seemed that Mullen had the best game of his life coaching and Aranda may have had his worst. Mullen just ran circles around that defense. It had nothing to do with missing any players. The LSU defenders were absolutely fooled to no end. They had no clue where the ball was going.

We were missing Lawrence, Alexander, Ferrell, and Herron on the DL.

They just ran all over us.

He was rattled by the opening touchdown being called back.

Never recovered

We had a perfect storm of wtf in that game. Fitzgerald was lights out. We had a lot of guys just quit in that game. As opposed to Auburn where they just wouldn't give in later on. This two games are mirror opposites of each other.

We sucked and on top of that we had too many penalties.

Check out this great highlight reel for us in that game. One of my favorites.

13 first downs, 270 yards, and 24:05 time of possession didn’t help anything.

Your analysis was that the team was flat and thats why we lost... and now you are laughing at the fact we didn't have enough available DL?

I guess you didn't read Aranda's interview stating that they basically didn't have a 2 deep and that a couple of the starters (for that game) played nearly every snap.

So was it the fact that we barely had a team out there and maybe that made us a little flat, or we just didn't care?

I think I trust Aranda on this one....

So, how does not having a 2 deep affect the first quarter?

Miss St peaked in that game and played their very best. The way their OL was blocking was unbelievable. Actually, both of their lines played completely sound with very few mistakes.

Our lines played awfully. OL was abused by Simmons and there were major mistakes made. The DL couldn’t set the edge to save their lives and the ILBs were getting blocked almost every time.

in the middle of the 3rd we had a 5th strong freshman defensive tackle get ejected on top of our already thin lines. it was just one of those days man.

There was no scoring in the first quarter. It was 7-7 with 9 minutes until halftime, only 10-7 with 5 minutes until half.
