This is up to JD

He would need to be lights out against AU, UF, Aggie and especially Alabama...if he lights up Bama he can have a miss on one of the others.

But he will have to not have a bad game out of those three. If he plays like he did against Mizzou and puts the team on his back he can play his way into it.

If he does that, LSU can do some stuff to make sure every non SEC focused voter knows it.

Absolutely agree with this. That was the first time I’ve seen JD have something close to a “Heisman moment”. Another performance like that against a Bama or Georgia would be compelling.

Show they can do that against a Top 25 defense.

Write the Heisman Voters and remind them Tim Tebow won with 3 or 4 loss team. Jayden Daniels is a thin guy but plays like he is 250 Lb guy. He has the determination and will to win by running thru or jumping over def players. He has heart of a Championship and is a good person, leader of his team and the guts to take a hit. Sure don’t want him hurt but he runs like a gazelle fast and determined to win with his every play.

8-4 is still likely without significant strides.

Why do you all keep saying this? I can see 9-3 with a loss to Bama, but A&M is not good and we get them at home.

1) LSU will be the underdog on the road at Bama. That offense has come around big time now too so we’re screwed. This game is looking like a terrible matchup for us. That’s 3 likely losses.

2) We can score with anyone but with our defense, no lead is safe either. We’ve been favored in every game this year and already lost 2 games. We trailed by 10+ in our last 3 games and were fortunate we have JD5 to come back and win 2 of them. All thrilling games because we can’t just stomp an opponent. 31, 55, 39 pts against. Not shocking at all if LSU loses a game to one of Florida(75% chance to win)-Auburn(80% chance to win)-A&M (60% chance to win) by making their offenses look otherworldly and we give up 40+.

Looking at each game individually 9-3 is the most likely record but looking at the remaining season, 8-4. For JD5 to win the Heisman, have to go 10-2. He’s going to need that Heisman moment against Bama to secure us a 10 win season and finish in the top 10 for him to be considered for that team award.

Win but especially win the games you’re meant to win and stop making everything so close. Sadly his chances are tied to our defense which shouldn’t matter.
