1) The O line was very disappointing
2) Bama played out of their minds....Miss St will do better against them.....that intensity level can not be maintained
3) You would think with 2 weeks to prepare, LSU could come up with some better plays other than expecting #7 to run over Bama. This is on the coaching staff....they did a poor job preparing the team for this game.

They wanted more than we did and it showed. It's a common theme now for LSU to look totally unprepared to play in big games. It almost seemed like we were shocked Bama was good at football.

A very familiar theme.

For whatever reason LSU simply wasn't prepared. Coaching, media hype, over confidence or whatever else you throw in could be blamed on that.

Was Bama the better team? No doubt but LSU didn't come ready to play. At the end of the day I lay that at the feet of CLM.

Good scheme vs terrible offensive scheme. Good, innovative offensive coordinator vs. old, stubborn offensive coordinator

Math? What are you talking about? Hey genius, who is responsible for the following?

-Recruiting
-Player Development
-Gameplan for Offense, Defense................and SPECIAL TEAMS.
-Execution of Gameplan
-Adjusting to a failed gameplan
-Hiring coaches that develop players
-Hiring coaches that recruit
-Hiring coaches that will adjust to a failing gameplan
-Hiring coaches that respect you (Peveto gently laughs to himself at Miles on the 1st and 15th)
-Above all.....motivating players in 7....or 14 days to play the game of their life...five times in a row.

Members of the "Sand Clique" on here don't like having their opinions, beliefs and love for their coaching god challenged.

But more and more are starting to fall by the wayside. It's become all too apparent just exactly what the LSU football program is and there's no denying it any longer.

Say what you want, it's not a CHAMPIONSHIP program at this point in time.

A few wins are good enough for some.................

Miles has recruited smaller, faster players, bama recruits bigger and stronger players

It's simple.

Miles tried to run right into the bama line with his smaller, faster players and got destroyed

Miles is not smart. He is not smart enough to know that he is not smart. That has to be understood. He actually thought that he could be successful running between the tackles on Alabama. Did you see the look on his face in the post game press conference? He's bewildered. It's like he doesn't understand why karma wasn't in his favor. It's only by good luck that he isn't driving a beer delivery truck.

Both our D and O lines are as talented or better than any of the teams that have had more success against bama this year

Don't think this is true. There have been concenes about recruiting on the D and O lines the last 3-4 yrs. LSU simple is not as strong as everyone wanted to believe in the trenches and Harris still has improvements to make.

1. Offense didn't get any first downs early
2, the running plays were vanilla
3. BH never got in a rhythm
4. Bama looked more motivated...having one loss already and finding out you can control your destiny 30 min before kickoff may have helped
5. Maybe our oline got the big head and listened to all the praise.
6 terrible game plan.
7. Our strength (power running attack) is not better than their strength (strong physical defense) and it hasn't been in the last 5-6 years.
8. Our defense isn't as good as it has been (many don't want to admit it's but the chief had bamas number... Until the last 2 minutes of halves)
9. We have 2 weeks to prepare and rarely see any wrinkles on offense. I saw one when they lined LF up on the left wing and handed the dive off to DW.
10. Bama has more pride

For the offensive line's whipping, it is really tough to start majority of your drives deep in your own territory. Defense knows you are a running team and not willing to take a chance putting the ball in the air with the poor field position. So, defensive line are playing the run, linebackers are filling the gaps playing run and the safeties are moving forward towards the line before the ball is snapped. Don't care if we have the NE Patriots dressed in purple/gold last night....six lineman cannot block nine defensive players off the line.

This.

Special Teams set the tone for our offensive gameplan. BDP needs to go and go now. Fire his arse today.

It's very very difficult to block someone when they know what play is coming, let alone great defensive players. The defense was on the field too long. Take note of bama's variety of play calling. It kept our defense guessing.

Then add the fact that the offense snaps almost every play at the end of the play-clock, thereby insuring that the defense gets a good jump at the snap.

I think during the bye week they may have gotten too relaxed.

Asking the players to exucute the "square peg in the round hole" offense is moronic. If plan A isn't working, someone paid millions of dollars a year sure as hell should.have a plan B. The fact that Miles gets a pass because it is Saban is unacceptable. A poor game plan and an inability to adapt is NOT on on the players and their execution.

Besides players, I think it was strategy. They were pushing out line in at the middle every single play not allowing our linemen to separate and get blocking downfield. It was bogged down in the middle every play.
