Baseball is more important.

But for the topic's sake, here you go.

Notes:

Nats getting redone, nothing added just severe maintenance that I believe doesn't include A/C, wtf.

And Women's BB locker rooms will get redone.

It is the worst one in the SEC by far. Compare it to the rest of the SEC

1. Natatorium is fine as is. No one gets hot swimming in a pool.

2. Mike the Tiger needs a female Tiger as a playmate. Mike has needs too.

3. Build a 100,000 sq. feet parking lot for Football games. Charge each car a 25 dollar a fee to get into the lot. Raise ticket prices to 100 dollars per ticket to raise revenue.

4. Ask Shaq to pony up some cash. Im sure he's got a couple million in his closet.

5. Fire Joe Alleva. Or cut his salary in half.

6. Fire Javi so there will be no more excuses for LSU not winning the NC every year in Omaha.

7. Encourage rich sponsors to fund naming rights for every building on campus. Tiger Stadium could be the Goodyear Stadium on the campus of LSU.

8. Fire Joe Alleva. Or give him a wage of 10 dollars an hour.

9. Allow the sale of alcohol in TigerStadium .

A parking garage for tiger stadium seems like it would be disater trying to get in and out of.

not an alleva fan? or am i reading between the lines?

the vast majority of people know zero about swimming. the nat is awful. and there is no denying it. not saying it should be #1 priority, but it should be up there.

More pressing than a new facade for TS, is to renovate all of the guts of TS. I agree that TS needs a unified look to the outside, but more pressing is bringing the restrooms, concessions, and walkways into the 21st century. Basically everything from the seats to the outside walls. For instance there is a ton of wasted space in the unused dorm rooms, either renovate them and lease them out to people for tailgating or just a place to stay after the game. Or completely get rid of the dorms, giving more space for concessions, restrooms, and widening the walkway ramps. The reason this is more pressing to me is because as they continue to raise prices, the game day experience has gotten worse. There are not enough urinals/ toilets, not wide enough walkways and walkways that dump people out to the same spot, which cause a bottle neck. Aesthetics are great and everything, but to improve the fan experience they need to improve amenities. That might be an underlying reason why actual attendance is down.

Also get full use of the video boards, loose the giant PVC pipe, and kill the piped in music.

You have a point, but the reason I didn't put this in my top three was that I had heard that LSU was already planning on including a redo of the concourses in TS in the next round of athletic improvements.

If you look at past rounds of TAF facility upgrades/construction, there is one major high-dollar project around $75-100 million, one or two projects around one third to one half of the high dollar project, and a couple of projects around a million to two million.

TAF follows this pattern pretty much every time. So I don't know where the TS concourse fits into the scheme of the next round of upgrades, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was at the top.

As far as unifying the outside of TS, I've heard no word on this.

One thing that never changes at LSU - there is always a group of people who want the AD fired.

Looked up LSU Swimming and Diving. The team vision in to be "in the top 5 in the SEC". Top 5? If that were the vision of the football or baseball team heads would roll. Maybe, just maybe, Alleva is LSU's most pressing athletic issue after all.

very good for looking that up, RU. Most would not.

The nat was built in 1985, with very few true improvements since.

I love what is said in your LINK, "LSU boasts the largest and most complete athletic training facility in all of collegiate athletics". Yet the Natatorium is a disgrace.

And on top of that, the Huey P. Long Pool which is right next door, is completely dilapidated and condemned as a safety hazard to students, visitors, and alumni.

LINK

If Gov Jindal can fix failing schools you would think he could find a way to fix LSU's failing pools.

Apparently, a proposal is on the table to renovate the Fieldhouse...

Long Fieldhouse needs to be overhauled or torn down.

Actually in the process of renovation plans. Worked on the proposal for it. The pool will be filled in for those concerned (budget doesn't allow to restore it). The space would be used for the education department.

Indoor track and Nat are 1 and 1a. Last I heard the athletics department was throwing some money at the pool to make it last another 10+ years, but it doesn't fix the main problem, Heating and Air conditioning. Did they dedicate any money to the indoor track?

This is also assuming that tennis is getting their indoor and gym is getting a practice facility, I didn't list those because I was under the assumption that they finally gave the go ahead to build those. If not, those are all 4 the top and only priorities.

I always find it funny how people think they can redesign or request athletic facilities on a fan website. As if the administration is going to be on here trolling for ideas .

Indoor track has been completely renovated. The finishing touches are still being polished up.

Glad to hear that something is being done with the unsightly Huey Long Pool. Thanks for the scoop. Bummer that is not a full restoration. Huey will be turning in the grave when they fill it in. It was one of his pride and joys for the students.

I'd like the exterior of the Field House to receive a facelift, because the new interior is great but the exterior is going to be a eyesore for the nicholson development

And I always find it funny when people poke fun at other people wanting better for their team and school on that same fan website.
