LSU's most pressing academic renovation needs

This is aside from any of the 60+ construction projects currently in-work or already planned.
My top three...
Renovation of the Middleton Library...
For starters, why couldn't they have made it look like the Hill Memorial Library?
And don't even get me started about the location, which ruined the cruciform look of the Quad:
For another thing, it's just too small for a university this size. I get the fact that the current location is convenient for students between classes. So a library at or near the current location makes sense.
I think at a minimum, Middleton needs expanding by another 2-3 additional floors. This could be done similar to how Tiger Stadium was expanding...with a free-standing structure attached to the existing one. Except with Middleton, I would place the addition above the current building. With an overhang both in front and in back, in effect giving the building bigger porches, as well as increasing the interior volume of the expansion. The addition would also match the rest of the Quad buildings in look. Down the line, the construction of an even bigger library in a new location, preferably close to the Law School and the dorms would be ideal.
2. A new Studio Arts Building. We've all heard the complaints, and seen the marches protesting the current conditions.
LSU has plans in place for renovations, but the state legislature has continually balked at the $15 million dollar price tag:

Short-term repairs including improved climate control and a new roof will alleviate some of the problems, like mold that has been identified throughout the building, but this is just a band-aid approach.
3. More parking garages. Parking isn't currently as much of a problem as it is at other universities, but that's about to change. The expansion of Patrick Taylor Hall and the Nicholson Drive Project will both take away existing parking spots. The LSU Union Square Parking Garage was a good step forward, but more like it are needed.

Hey JD, do what I did, start a new photbucket account, move both your sig and avi pics there. I had the same problem with my old photobucket account, and that fixed it.

Actually in the process of renovation plans. Worked on the proposal for it. The pool will be filled in for those concerned (budget doesn't allow to restore it). The space would be used for the education department.

You don't need to look far to see a better library. Just look at ULMs. It is much bigger and much nicer than LSUs and is at a university with less than 10k students

The ULM Library has become the "signature" building of the University. The Library is prominently located at the center of the ULM campus on Bayou Desiard, bridging the University’s academic buildings and residential/athletic facilities.
Wow! That is a nice building!

If I remember correctly it was in the news that it moves a few inches closer to the bayou every year. It's literally less than 30 ft away from the water
