Maybe a berm wouldn’t work because of space but what abojt a sort of faux berm? Structural building below with concessions and whatever then dirt on top then grass? Or a terraced setup like ole miss in left field. shite, they have bbq pits and what not out there, right?

The bleachers behind the left field wall are literally the same bleachers from that spot at the old box.

If anyone still doubted that LSU went cheap.

When they initially opened the new Box and brought those bleachers with them, I really thought they would only be used for a couple years max until they upgrade them. Can't believe they are still there

Giant Eye of the Tiger painted in the middle of the outfield

Faux berm in the outfield, Grass on top, but concrete or steel support structure (put bathrooms/concessions underneath)

All chairbacks (it's the year 2021 - we have the technology to build seats with backs)

Move the bull pens off the field for safety

Make a run to Home Depot for new 2x4's for new benches for the bull pen

Get more students to the games

3. Outfield Berm/Relaxed Seating Badly needed. The area behind the outfield would more than likely need to be reconfigured but it's doable. Build it on opposite side of the addition above and allow students/fans to bring chairs, ice chests, etc. Arkansas, Ole Miss, & State all have similar set ups which are a hell of a time. It would only enhance the experience for the younger fans. The outfield bleachers suck

I agree with everything except this—that is, the “berm” part, specifically. I know berms are very popular on this board but I’ve always said the only thing that looks cheaper than the antique brec park bleachers we have out there would be dirt and grass. Relaxed seating, yes. A berm, as in a hill of dirt, is what people sit on outside junior college stadiums when they don’t have a ticket.

We can use the same relaxed seating approach but come up with something way more creative and unique I think. And because Ole Miss and Arkansas have a berm, for me, is even more of a reason we shouldn’t. Let’s do something that makes theirs look bad, not just copy them.

Just my 2 cents.

ETA: Still, very nice work on this thread.

Sitting on the ground is not particularly comfortable, and putting camping or lawn chairs on a sloped surface is awkward. Again, just think we could go bigger and better, SETTING the standard as we have before and not just meeting it.

They don't want a batters eye. They want unencumbered views of Tiger Stadium. So a berm or lounge out there is unlikely as well. That came from a TAF bigshot in Dallas.

Prominent Ticket holders were polled ? Thats a Joke, Why would LSU ask people who sit in Suites and in the Prime Seat locations WITH CHAIR-BACKS Guaranteed that Question. Their not going to sit in those seats ..LoL Why would they care?

Whooa hmmm ... I wouldn't be surprired if LSU did this, they really have been out of touch with the Hard Core LSU fan for many years now.

We all know the Box isn't very plush. It looks more like a Minor league stadium built on the CHEAP. (especially down the lines and outfield)

Lol, y'all all want these facility upgrades at the box but are all on board with paying a women's fricking basketball coach almost 3 million a year. There's your alex box improvements right there down the drain. We are losing well over 2 million a season just in her salary alone compared to our previous ones contract. That money has to come from somewhere and coaches contracts are priority over chair backs and other improvements at the box, which they will put on the back burner bc they're not considered "a necessity". Sorry but we pissed our box improvements and chair backs away to Kim mulkey and women basketball. It will be a while before we chair back the entire box or do any major renovations now. Just watch.

You're retarded. One has nothing to do with the other. With that logic, why spend any extra money on baseball, that barely turns a profit.
Coach Mulkey will do more for this school in the next 5 years than Paul has the last 10.
