Sure they are, but three at the same time?

2000 game in Tiger Stadium, where LSU hadn't beaten Bama in 30 years, Saban's first LSU team was clearly better than Bama, but officiating kept things close.

For example, the officiating crew "forgot" who had possession of the ball and was ready to award possession to Bama. The jumbotron operator began running replay video again and again showing LSU with possession. The LSU players on the field gestured frantically at the screens to get the refs to look.

That's not a typo. An entire crew of officials claimed they forgot which team had possession of the ball and wanted to award possession to the wrong team, Bama, and would have done so without video evidence directly in front of them and 90,000 witnesses.

LSU dominated the game and won by 2 points.

2009 spearing of JJ
2012 eddie lacy screen pass right before half that made it 14-3, I believe. IIRC, it was kevin minter who diagnosed the play. as he runs in, he is grebbed and held by the front of his jersey. so much so that it changes the direction in which he is running. lacy gains 20-30 yds on the play.

I remember this well.

I also remember the SEC bending over backwards to state the call was wrong. They also sent Bama an official letter of apology.

LSU 1 - Bama 193725342386

How many times has LSU received an apology after being screwed? LSU, along with the other SEC schools, are generally told to piss off.

Yeah it was. Hurts fumbled, Duke Riley ran it back but they blew it dead. I can't remember if they even eventually ruled it a fumble and we got the ball there or if they just said LUL and let Bama keep the ball.

When they are missed usually the ref is looking at the other side of the line. Here there is 0 excuse.

PP7 int

To actually look at a video of him getting 2 feet in bounds but still ruling him out is indefensible.

yeah that one always stood out. we were winning and he was playing fairly well up to that point.

I'd like to see CWeb's play from 04. don't think I watched that game, but it gets brought up by our own fans so much that it must've been pretty bad lol.

That one's gotta be a tough one to call. Middle of the pile, everyone is falling down at the same time, etc. Could be hard to see exactly what happened if you aren't in the right spot.

Yes, the unnecessary roughness call after Beckwith recovered a fumble at the their 5 in a tie game with 2 min left.

After we ran the first play, AL defenders did everything they could to get an LSU player to react, even dragging an LSU player by his leg after the play was over.

Vadal Alexander shoved the AL player and 3 flags flew. We settle for FG after AL uses its 3 TOs to stop the clock. We kick out of bounds and they go the length of the field in 1 min for game tying FG and win in OT

When the SECN shows replays of this game, they don't show the unnecessary roughness play.

Not 4 at one time, in the open field of play. The play I believe he is referring to- the pocket had broken down, the holds were in the open field, not all stacked up on the LOS where it might be hard to see.

I'm not digging you... you really believe Bama is behind White's ejection?

I think confirmation bias built up from years of the current system is responsible for one team getting that called not flagged and another not only getting it flagged but getting it upheld by review officials.

Bias can be present which aids one program without there being any backroom deals or conspiracy in place. I'm not saying there is not that as well, just that there need not be to explain calls that happen like this fairly routinely in this league.

I will never forget Damien James pointing to the screen trying to get the refs to award us the ball.

Also, the streakers flipped the momentum that night.

Bo Scarborough was clotheslining Davon Godchaux on that play 3 feet away from the ref!

BAMA fans still complain about the Eric Reid interception in the 2011 game in Tuscaloosa. One of the most athletic plays I've seen. Note the announcer's cry "Oh No!" (no bias there).

They did this quite often. Sometimes even when what happened hurt LSU.
