We'll probably avoid the quarter and hit up bars in WHD and uptown to watch football

Put on bulletproof vest
Leave Baton Rouge
Park in the garage
Run into the Dome
Run back to the car
Go back to Baton Rouge
Take off bulletproof vest

NOLA resident here...
I highly recommend you don't make elaborate plans. This city is a clusterfuuk.

I have to go to my baby shower for my son for a little bit and then hopefully get drunk with my wife being the designated driver in the dome.

Stupid to drive all that way just to skip the game.

I'd suggest warehouse district/uptown. Its Decadence Fest, so go into quarter at your own risk. Will prob be a culture shock to most.

Go relax. Have some drinks and enjoy a nice meal. Game will kick arse.
Of course if you are a mouth breather it's going to be tough to have a good time in the big scary city

Plan is to sight in my ACOG on Friday and just open carry the rifle all weekend. Not sure my concealed 45 has the stopping power for the bullet-resistant strain of super criminals in the FQ these days.

Urban South Brewing (owned by an LSU alum) on Tchoupitoulas is having a beer release/LSU kickoff party. It's a short uber or Lyft ride from the Warehouse District or CBD. I would avoid the Quarter like the plague for obvious reasons.
