So you don't have Nola gameday plans. Got it. Great contribution.

Is that what you call somebody that doesn't want to see half-naked guys making out in public? Then I'm a mouth breather!

Ok, I will try and be reasonable and not name call anymore.
Pull up a map. There is a lot of stuff to do in the Warehouse District, CBD, and Uptown to where you want have to be around any of the gay events. The only part where the really crazy stuff generally happens is the lower end of Bourbon. I'ts pretty easy to avoid that stuff.

Like I said, go have a nice meal, go to the casino, bar hop, hit up a tailgate. Have a good time.

Go relax. Have some drinks and enjoy a nice meal. Game will kick arse.
Of course if you are a mouth breather it's going to be tough to have a good time in the big scary city

But its so scary, and dangerous.

Hey everyone, War eagle!

Me and my wife are having our 1 year Anniversary coming up and she has been wanting to stay in the French Quarters, and we were thinking about going to the Auburn/LSU game or the Troy/LSU game depending on the week we go down.

I know yall joke a lot on here but I would like to not get shot at or robbed, has it really turned into that bad of a place?

10 million people will visit the city this year. Isolated robberies and stuff has unfortunately happened in some tourist areas, but there is a 99.9% chance you will be fine.
Go enjoy yourself.

Hey DShort--you'll have a great time. Just be safe as you would in any major city.

And by the way, dont' say

French Quarters
. There's no "s".

I live in Texas now but have spent 15 days this year visiting New Orleans. I stayed half in the French Quarter and Half in the Warehouse district. I did not have a car with me either time so I walked a lot and used Uber and the Streetcars to get around. Often times me and my wife were by ourselves and we are both young, white as can be, and weigh maybe 275 lbs combined. At no point did I feel in danger or unsafe and not a single person was threatening or rude.

There will be black people around. Some of them talk funny. Some of them will try to hustle you. It's all ok. Just treat people with respect and don't be an idiot and you will be fine.

A certain group of people say French Quarters. I'll let you figure out which group that is...

Is it a possibility the streets will flood?

ETA: Go grab a poboy at Parkway and then watch games and drink beer at Bayou Beer Garden. Cab to the game.

Black people dont scare me, as my wife is black....

But thanks guys! I figured it would be a fun trip, like I said I just have never been there and didn't want the chances to be a lot more than being in any other city. We will be booking our trip soon! WDE
