I think the D will be fine. The DL will be great and we added enough talent to the DBs through transfers that we should get solid play. House can also get the best out of the LB corps.

Offense is the big question for me. Consistency out of the QB position, whoever wins the job. I think the OL will be solid, but how quickly can they mesh as a unit. I'm waiting to see if someone emerges as a legit RB1. Lastly not sure what to expect out of the TE position. We need someone to step up. I liked Mason Taylor and thought he could be good. Glad to see he's making an impression, but he's a true FR. The WR group will be be elite as long as the QB can get them the ball.

I think it will be a sloppy game. Just want the win and to build on each week before the schedule gets brutal.

This. If Kelly can get his teams to play this way LSU is going to win a lot of games in the future. The talent will take care of the rest.

A disciplined and fundamentally sound team can beat more talented team.

Complete and utter dominance of our opponent in every facet of the game.

In all seriousness I hope to see the O line looks competent as well as execution of offense in general.

Hoping for competent QB play and a decent running game. Also interested to see how this secondary performs.

Hate to break it to you but busted plays/covers happen to everyone.

Player Leadership (both sides of the ball - don’t care who)

The rest will take care of itself

Execution on offense. Not worried about the defense at all, I just want the offense to make plays and get first downs in the regular.

Discipline, solid line play, QB just manage the game and put the ball in the playmakers hands. LSU do all of that they win by 17 points.

But I want to see discipline. For example, no dumbasses getting up and doing the dougie for a big hit they made after the guy they tackled picked up 30 yards.

No more than 2 pre-snap penalties. Minimal holding calls. Few blown assignments on both sides. Improvement throughout the game. Better conditioning showing up in the 4th quarter. A well-executed game plan that takes control of the game by the 4th.

This may be asking a lot, but I think it’s possible with this staff.

First and most important a Win.
Cohesiveness and playing together like an actual team instead of a shite show.

Limited yards after catch for Florida State. I want to see our defense cap successful Florida State offensive plays. When FSU has a catch for 10 yards, I want to see the WR go down immediately.

This, as well. Some leaders finally emerged late last year, but that has really been lacking since 2019 and it’s an area that Kelly has emphasized.

Better organization on both sides of ball to avoid many mistakes.

I want that same feeling I saw game 1 of 2019 when I watched Joe Burrow methodically destroy a team they should have methodically destroyed. It was the first game my wife said she never heard me bitch once. I told her there was nothing to bitch about and we would win a NC that year.

To be fair, I know I’ll probably never see it again but one can wish. Realistically I just want to see a disciplined team that plays with great fundamentals and solid game plan. The last 2 years were absolutely brutal to watch and some of the worse football I’ve ever seen.

Interested in seeing the D line. That unit is going to cause many problems for the opposition.
