Personally I would avoid a lot of the mayo or cream based dishes. Too many opportunities for food spoilage.

Jambalaya or burgers and dogs would be my rec. Watermelon or other fruit is always good too

If you're cooking on campus you want a meal you don't have to constantly tend to. Smoke a butt or a brisket. Pull some pork or make brisket sandwiches. Bring cole slaw. You don't want to have to be constantly flipping burgers, or scraping a hot pot all day.

a vinegar based cole slaw, one with lots of cilantro
Melon of choice,


All can be precooked and brought in on ice, allowing me to sit in front of a fan and stay coolish.
