Damone Clark credits him with his improvement and getting him drafted.

His safety position is considered one of the best units on the team.

Top 50 pass defense this year despite playing 3 top 25 passing offenses and 5 of the top 55.

This is despite playing with mostly 3 stars on defense.

Whether you use sp+ ratings or regular rankings, his defense jumped 70-90 spots from before he came there.

You must not have watched the UGA game. UGA didn't have their way with Mizzou. That was actually a really good evenly played game.

Who cares if they went up against Ohio St's backup's backup, they still only allowed 3 pts and 200 total yds. That's exactly what a good defense is supposed to do.

Mizzou finished with a top 25 defense and 6/12 games were against top 50 offenses (Ohio St. was #48, but they didn't have their QB so I am not counting them). LSU had 4 games against top 50 offenses.

What Baker did at Mizzou should not be discredited. He did a very good job turning around a defense that was brutally bad in 2021.

I agree. We needed a change 100 percent though. This could be a good hit for BK but time will tell. Should be an All-Star coaching staff.

Mizzou's defense was ranked #105(total defense) and #113(scoring defense) in 2021.

They hired Baker as DC and finished #33(total defense) and #55 scoring defense in 2022.

Then #33(total defense) and #25(scoring defense) in 2023.

He literally helped flip Mizzou's defense in 1 year and the reason they did well this past year is because their offense finally caught up.

If LSU had a top 30 defense this year we’d be playing for the Natty this week.

Giving up 134 yds to the LSU RB that just quit the team?

Like that's some big deal. Missouri won 11 games. You don't win 11 games in the SEC without playing some pretty good D. Their D was terrible before he took over two years ago.

Outside of their D giving up 42 to LSU, 31 was the next highest total they gave up.

Great recruiter and developer. Knew him when he was in Ruston. Really personable and helped get 3-4 dudes to the NFL.

He was let go as LSUs LB coach by Kelly then hired as the DC because Kelly’s original DC sucked. Don’t blame him though because if he comes and improves LSUs shite defense he will have HC opportunities as soon as after next season.

Took the 115th defense to a top 25 defense in like a year.
———————-———————————————————————————

Not true, Fake news. They went from 53rd to 25th. Considerably better but they weren’t 115th. This stuff is researchable we don’t have to make it up to make him seem like a home run candidate.
